I come here almost everyday now. Few choices of home cooking of vege (and different menus everyday) with great taste, really suits me who neeeds vege supplies for pregnancy. Their chicken terriyaki is d best, yet I wish they could provide fish in menu too. Although abit pricy for simple home cooking, but for me its still worth my money.

...apart from the soy sauce. This was a depressing experience with nothing Japanese about the decor or the food. It was more of the nasi padang style of food cooked much earlier in the day. Having lived in Japan for 15+ years, I think I can judge a Japanese restaurant from a non-Japanese restaurant. I'd be interested to know if... More

I went here with my wife and infant son. They got the breakfast set and I got the traditional vegetarian Japanese lunch set with miso soup. The food was really good, quick service and we paid around $10 for all of our food and drinks.

This modest little Warung, on the right of Alchemy in Penestanan that sells country-style Japanese food, also sells beautiful handmade coconut oil soap that owner Satsuki Hashimoto makes upstairs. This chemical-free soap, hand cut and packaged on the premises, comes in a number of flavours including lemongrass and charcoal. She also makes a coconut oil washing powder. Highly recommend. And... I really enjoy this restaurant and have been several times. It is a simple lunch or dinner. The food is freshly made and you choose from a selection of meat and vegetarian dishes on offer for the day. The set meal allows you choose a selection of 3 plus miso soup and rice. There are usually about 8 dishes to... More

I've visited Alami twice. First time I was just after a small meal so I tried a miso and two of the vego cooked options. The serving sizes were very big along with the miso I was very full & satisfied. However the vibe was very dull, it was about 8.30 and as soon as I finished my last mouthfull... More

We enjoyed very authentic Japanese meals at Warung Alami. They cook real home style Japanese food including some popular deep fried dishes. We did not find them oily at all. They are focused on freshness of the ingredients and authenticity. We also loved the locally made miso paste. The price is the average and other restaurants on the same street... More
