Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The man taking orders behind the counter was abrupt and abrasive. When a customer asked for a serviette he told her that they do not provide tissues and told her to go away. He spoke in a harsh voice. The laksa was very, very ordinary....We had seafood laksa. I saw only one small prawn in mine. It was a case of ‘spot the seafood.’ The flavour was okay, just okay but that’s the best I can say. The pictures of the laksa on the wall behind the counter bear absolutely no resemblance to the laksa we had. We will certainly not be recommending 328 Laksa to anyone and we will never return. I can purchase a far superior laksa from the soup aisle in our local supermarket in Australia. This is most unfortunate as we were really looking forward to eating here.More

Street food packed with flavour! The shredded chicken laksa was brilliant (added the full packed of chilli). Added Otah & pau for snacks. A food icon for the simplicity of its great good.

Like what’s even the point in something being that spicy?! I tried some Laksa and couldn’t even order any. My girlfriend had the Laksa and she can handle spice really well. Her throat closed up, she couldn’t breathe, and struggled to eat the dish. The...flavour wasn’t even that good to balance out the pain either. I get that for locals this would be fine, but unless you don’t want the taste of Vesuvio in your mouth, don’t even bother. Disappointed to see the hype as well - the Michelin star sticker on the door and pictures of famous chefs suggests that this is one of the best places to eat in Asia, but it’s really notMore

This well known laksa joint, 328 Katong Laksa, no doubt have had its glory days... You can tell from the wall paper of actors/actresses from the past (around 20 years ago). The laksa here are the type where you cannot use chopsticks to pick up......hence, you are only provided with a spoon. Soup base is well balanced and not too spicy nor too strong on the coconut side. The texture of the laksa is not the "al dente" type. There is a huge debate as to what is "genuine" laksa (if there is ever such benchmark) so I will leave it up to your good-self to decide if this suits your taste. Menu is very simple. Laksa is a must order item. Other side dishes is purely supplementary. They also have a branch further down the road. Overall, a satisfying meal for me.More

I’m usually fine with bad attitude and service but can’t accept that my order is wrong and yet accused of not giving the correct order, was signalled to take my food and leave as the staff walked off and refused to make the order right.

0 stars if I could. Food was alright, not particularly different to other local laksa places. Just riding the marketing hype to be honest. Service was horrible, especially from the owner herself. Made loud remarks to a single question regarding seating to the point where...the entire restaurant went quite to spectate. Specifically targeted our group when it came to queuing to order, but didn’t “advise” anyone else in line. Very questionable service here, just “beware” 😅More

Stumbled into this place while walking around Katong, not realizing its reputation. It's extremely basic, but it is air conditioned. Small bowl is less than 6SD & it is enough for a meal. I was skeptical at first (shrimp is sliced in 1/2, probably to...save $), but flavor is excellent.More

The laksa here was good. Wasn't too spicy. What was strange was, there were no chopsticks and it was all eaten with a spoon. The noodles was short, I guess that's why there were no chopsticks. I ordered dim sum on the menu as well....Best to avoid, they weren't bad but it didn't go with the laksa. The place was very crowded annd the tables were placed very close together, which I found a little uncomfortable.More

Laksa was tasty, right mix of sambal chilli, coconut and thick rice noodles. The noodles were nicely presented in a black bowl, topped with laksa leaves. But at $6.30 for a small bowl it is too costly.

I can barely taste the flavour of the broth because the spice almost totally masks it. It's not the spiciest thing ever but I really cannot taste the flavour beneath. The portions are pretty small for the large ($8.30). Not worth the trip for me,...unfortunatelyMore

Great laksa. Perfect amount of spice. Get the lime juice to cut the heat a little. Top 10 must go eateries in Singapore IMO.

It will be my first and last time buying from 328 Katong Laksa. There was no price indicated on the menu. I had brought my own container for take away, but was still charged $6.30, $0.30 for the container. They didn’t even bother to explain....It’s that “ take it or leave it” attitude. When the food was ready, the woman just left the container there, waiting for me to pick up the piping hot container myself. I had to ask her to help pack the container. Instead of helping put the container into the plastic bag, she handed me the plastic bag to help myself! What kind of service and attitude is this ? Taste of food is only average. It’s expensive - $6.30 for 2 pathetic pieces of prawn and 2 pieces of cockles with noodles. I certainly will not patronize that shop ever again! There are other better places with better lasksa and certainly better service!More

The laksa is really spicy and fragrant. The noodles are cut so that you only use a spoon to eat! So no chopsticks required at all. Ordered the nasi lemak and otah as well and both are quite delicious, especially the chilli provided for the...nasi lemak.More
