About
Celebrating Neighbourhoods There’s always that special place in the areas we live.By habit or necessity, there are checkpoints where our paths converge, no matter where our days take us. These are the places where shared moments and experiences connect us – and they eventually come to mean far more than the function it serves. A café doesn’t merely dispense coffee. Neither does a bakery simply cook flour and put them on sale. They are strongholds founded deep in the history of the area it dwells, built upon with stories shared within and around its walls. Where perspectives are challenged, broadened, renewed; and the future can be boldly envisioned with insight and belief. Where friends are made, dreams are shared, and love is found. This unique confluence of the community drives us to excellence and new levels of inspiration in everything we do. We are dedicated to celebrating the individuals, embracing the stories and transforming the living space for people around us. We are dedicated to celebrating neighbourhoods.

There is always a queue, and I understand why. The coffee is good and the croissant is perfect. Their pastries and dessert delicacies are mouth watering. The eclair is abit pricey at $7.50 but they are famous for croissant and it’s only $3.50 so it’s definitely worth trying and bagging home one or two too 😄

Aussies are bound to love this little hot spot for good coffee and great patisseries, particularly after you've been craving a taste of home. This isn't typical Asian Bakery like Breadtop: the croissants are made with love and taste very good (although are perhaps a little too flaky at times), and the coffees are excellent. If you're having tea, be sure you're specific or else you'll end up with frothed hot milk on the side. Staff were very serious and too caught up in their tasks to show any real customer care, but it doesn't matter too much when the food is this good. I'll be back again on my next visit to Singapore.

Good Service amidst this pandemic eg temp screening, social distancing and contact tracing all in place. Staff were cheerful and happy to serve. Though however Croissants 🥐were nice and fluffy made off shop at Lengkok Bahru kitchen comparable to those made in France. I saw caucasians at their existing central kitchen so standards were set to their homeland. However $3.50 piece is way too expensive and coffee ☕️ prices were marked up way too high. Somehow tasted rancid and just doesn’t justify the price. Move on to Paris Baguette in the city. You are here just for the neighbourhood vibes (nothing for the view surrounding it) and or the foreigners surrounding it that’s all. I will go for the food at the hawker Center just down the road anytime.

I went to the Holland Village bakery and ordered chocolate&sugar brioches, almond croissants and a cereal baguette with ham&cheese. Brioches were ok the rest mediocre.
The paste in the croissants had no almonds at all or so minimal that it tasted like random sugar spread. The baguette bread was totally off and I suspect it was there for quite some time.
I rarely complain but coming from Europe, I appreciated the good range of consistent quality products TBB offers but this was totally off. I understand these are tough times for F&B and I hope this is not the result of a cost cutting exercise. Sorry to see that quality went down and really hope it’s a one-off!

We visited the branch in Holland Village. Having grown up in Singapore, I have a slight recollection of what the original TB bakery was like. This is nothing like the original and gives vibes closer to Starbucks versus Yakun or Toast Box (local coffee joints).
That said, they do offer good quality bread and pastries. We had the almond and plain croissants. The former is definitely better and a must try. We also had their flat white and café latte coffee. In my opinion, their coffee may be better than Starbuck’s but that would be expected given that they are priced at around the same levels.
Kudos to the staff for providing good service. A genuine error was made for an extra cup of cafe latte but the staff were very helpful in giving me the credit.

Croissant is good but pricye. All other food maybe good, so may find other quality foods at much lower price. Forget the coffee, they are much overpriced. McDonalds coffee ar much better and much cheaper. My home brew using Starbucks beans is much better too.

I visited your Orchard outlet at Tangs this morning and I was very disappointed by your staff. I arrived at 8:05am and a woman walked up to me and asked if I scanned the QR code. No hello, just in my face with a QR code and a thermometer. Then I was told to follow the que which was confusing. I provided my order and halfway through the associate went to change the receipt tape behind the counter. I asked that he please change his gloves before finishing my order. I shouldn't have to do that, it's basic hygiene knowledge. The real offender was the guy at your coffee machine who was "testing" the coffee by making some, drinking it at the machine, and then placing his dirty cup back under the machine to "test" again. I told your manager how unsanitary that was and how disgusted I was by it. I would NEVER order coffee from you after seeing how your staff treats your machines with USED coffee mugs. In this uncertain time of COVID-19 I would have expected a lot more from my favorite bakery in Singapore. I'm so saddened by my experience this morning as it's clear that the health of your customers is not a top priority. Your concern seems to be taking temperatures and making sure customers fill out a QR code survey. Very disappointed.

The Bakery has maintained its high standards for bakes, and of course the well known croissants; but the coffee with the notable change in machines does not equate the standards of the other shop items. There is a growing choice of coffee on the island; and Tiong Bahru Bakery is far from the upper tier; yet the prices for coffees remain on par with the specialist coffee shops. This does not align, as the new machines are at best the same found in hotels to deliver fast coffee at the cost of taste. Surely a proper machine with a Barista warrants the investment vs pressing a button.

Had a lovely afternoon tea here. We were attended to by a helpful young lady and served by a well-built young man who was also kind and obliging, immediately after our order of 2 Cappucinos and almond croissant and lemon slice, said he'd bring our drinks to the table. The seats were cosy and well-spaced in the lovely interior , perfect setting for a good chat. Both coffee and food were aromatic and satisfying, cutlery sparkling and paper napkins easily available cat the table.
Can't understand some of the negative reviews, we were even thanked and waved goodbye to by yet another member of staff. Will definitely come again and avoid the over-crowded branch at Tiong Bahru.

Always enjoyed visiting TBB for the fabulous croissants and coffee. As its rather rich in flavor, they would previously offer water if requested. However today my experience was marred cos the staff at the raffles city outlet simple said they dont serve water anymore! The cafe next to theirs still served water freely, so it cant be for hygiene reasons? Cost cutting of such things in this covid time can easily cost them the customer! It's too bad...

Number one Croissant in Singapore, bar none. Since they opened for business, I had been a fan. Over the year (and the change in price), I have ventured out to find the better option but always back to this. Love its golden colour and buttery flaky skin. It is crispy outside if you're lucky to get the new batch, and more moist and soft and airy inside. Though It is nice even when it is cold. The special things about TBB Croissant is the layered skin, the layers are defined, you can unwind it like a mummy layer by layer. I guess this make it more crispy yet softer than others and really pretty to boost.

I work in a wholesale artisan bakery and I love a good pastry. All I can say is their Koign Amann are amazing, incredible lamination, buttery, perfect caramelisation and their Apple Koign Amann beyond words.....sadly I found out they only make this version every couple of weeks. In all honesty they probably saved me a few additional kilos by doing this! Highly recommended for their pastries and coffee was good too.

We came here a couple of times during our week in Singapore. The first time was on a weekend in the morning, with long queues. Be prepared to wait or jump to the takeaway queue like we did and subsequently ate and drank walking along.
Second time we came we had breakfast croissants like a chili beef one and brie and mushrooms and both were delicious. Make sure you get your table number first as it sends them into a tailspin if you don't. Coffee was good but could be hotter.
Third time was late afternoon and it was very quiet - nice and peaceful - just had coffee and almond croissant.
Definitely would come again next time we're here.

This review is of the Siglap branch which I visited for lunch with a friend. Wonderfully designed with cozy booth seats overlooking Upper East Coast Road, perfect for conversation or individual chilling out. However the best thing is the wonderful service. The young man at the counter was so kind and attentive, said the roast beef croissant ($12.50) would be brought to the table and indeed it was, warm and crackly with lettuce and cherry tomatoes. The hot hojicha ($6.50)was sweet and frothy though I'd have preferred it in a cup than a glass. Perhaps mustard, in addition to the hot sauce at the condiments table?
My friend ordered the quiche, not too salty, and the apple crumble was good too, with just that sour tang that means less sugar, which we welcomed!
The young lady server is also very welcoming and helpful, on a previous occasion had told me the hojicha was a good choice, bit of caffeine with the matcha.
Shall continue to haunt this place, free drinking water too and a spacious toilet with delightfully-scented cleansers

Terrible service and just boring food, mediocre coffee.
Croissant is ok but there is so much competition for quality pastry in sg.
Server was trying so hard to upsell / cross sell that it got ridiculous. Offered 10 things to buy. Please stop. I am here for a casual breakfast not at some Bangkok Patpong market.
