We ordered nagi avocado temaki, California maki, tempura shrimp temaki, and agedashi tofu. Hana makes their own umeshu, and they sell it for S$25 per glass. It seemed comparatively expensive, so we did not order it. Service seemed well-meaning but inexperienced, and the taste of...the dishes was never better than average. With so many choices in Singapore, we don't expect to go back.More

Do not order omakase after 7.45 pm as the kitchen closes at 9, so they will serve food extremely fast to get you out fast. Also be aware that the staff do not understand English well so unless you speak the local language there will...be misunderstandings. We arrived at about 8.10 pm and asked for two $38 and two $58 omakase. We were told you need a reservation to get the $38 omakase so that wasn’t possible, so we ordered four $58 omakases. Ghey said nothing about the kitchen closing at 9, but served us so fast that we didn’t have time to finish a course before they cleared it away. After the first courses they pull all the hot dishes on the table at once so things got cold before we had time to eat them. At this point we said things were too fast and they explained about the kitchen closing - if they had just told us this to start with we would have ordered something simpler. A rushed tasting menu is not a good experience. We also ordered a jug of beer but were given three glasses and a strange explanation about the rest of the jug being out in the kitchen saved for us. When we asked for the rest of the jug they brought a whole new jug, though only one of us wanted more, and clearly didn’t understand when we asked what happened to the rest of our first jug. A lot of the food was good - the sashimi was delicious and there was a truffle and egg dish I enjoyed. Overall the food was not spectacular though and honestly no food tastes that great when you’re being rushed through it. For a relatively expensive meal this was an awful experience.More

Went for Omakase and some alacarte. food were average, some were hit and some were a miss. The experience is what turned us off. Have checked in before reservation if we could have all raw fishes fully cooked and was told yes it’s possible. When...we went in, have shared again tt we’d like 3 sets of Omakase to be fully cooked. When the first fish dish was served, we shared that we’d requested for the fish to be fully cooked politely. Despite tt, The other fish dish also came raw. Staff’s attitude was impatient with rude vibe when we shared (even apologetically) about our requests with the raw fishes served. Though we didn’t make a fuss, Was thankful that another staff notice the blunder and came over to apologise for the oversight. Understand that it’s a busy weekend dinner, will appreciate if it was mentioned at the start that order customisation is not possible (if it’s so much of a trouble) so that we can order an alternative dish. Not a good experience and will not be back.More

Went for the $88+ Omakase menu. Portion is decent (we are an above average eater, not too full nor would you feel hungry after that), presentation is simple yet presentable. Good option if you are after a variety of japanese food-sashimi, meat and seafood. They...do have a wide range of alcohol as well. Personally, I enjoyed the truffle somen (refreshing), sashimi (fresh) and dessert (chewy and goes really with tea. Am usually not a dessert person) most. Coating for the ebi katsu is just nice, not too thick that you get sick of it fast. Generally, service is good. Staff is friendly and slowed down the serving of dishes after we feedback to them.  -ve point: Staff did not inform us when what was listed on the Omakase menu (Foie Gras sushi with tanuki) is not available. They swap out the item without notifying till we check-in with them. Am fine if they run out of the ingredients and have to make replacement but believe it would be polite to notify. Overall, was a satisfying meal, value for money.More

A bad experience with Omakase. Sushi was left at counter for more than 10mins. Mousse desert was not fresh as a date tag 8 May.. This could be the last time to dine in this restaurant.

Third time here in a month, each time with different people. Have tried the $38, $58 and $88 omakase sets, and the best value is the $58. Whatever set you choose, the ingredients are fresh and the food is value for money. The ala carte...roll was on the expensive side, and the lobster fried rice was quite tasty, with a generous portion of rice. The kindara or cod was okay, if a little oily. Service is always attentive and friendly.More

It is a decent Japanese food. You can’t expect the typical Japanese Omakase standard but if you are looking for a value Omakase, you can find it here. Food is average quality but rather too much per servings. The flying somen was good but too...large for even 2 of us to share and can’t finish it. They shall make it a small to it bowl that allow us to order more of other food. The sashimi also done come cheap as $60 for 4-5 PCs of Chitoro. However I love the grill hamachi kama and is perfectly grilled. Meat is still moist and skin slightly char and crisp. The fried oyster is equally good especially downing with few sake to pair with. Sake choices are limited but decent choice. Enjoyable dinner and chill place to hang out with loved ones or friends.More

When we stepped in, we were a little surprised by the muted lighting and tuckshopsy cafe-like tables and chairs. But we left wowed by the food. We opted for the $55 and $88:omakase menus, and most of the dishes were on point, such as the...mentaiko lobster, oysters done in various ways, the lovely fatty, fresh and full-of-goodness tuna, the delicious unagi, and the truffle somen. Between the wagyu beef and tenderloin, we preferred the tenderloin surprisingly, as it was softer and moist, and much more flavourful. The wagyu was too dry, but went well with the ponzu dip. The foie gras with golden tanuki sushi was too crispy, and my wife did not really taste the foie gras. The meal was rounded off nicely with homemade cheesecake and black sesame ice cream. They currently have three omakase menus for lunch, from $38 to $88. Service was friendly and quick as well.More

Casual eating place mostly frequented by younger customers. Brought my young friend who will be leaving to study at Canada. Had drinks and omakese. Enjoyed ! Food was good for the $88 set with variety and quality. Service was friendly and quick. Only disappointment was...that I made reservations early in the day. To my horror I was shown a table right at the door. I had to show displeasure before the lady owner gave me another table. Thank you.More

Novelty takes reigns here – most notably the flying Udon, which is quite a sight to behold. The magic ebbs as you chomp away the silken noodles – it’s a clever wooden standing contraption that holds up the masterpiece. Both salted egg and truffle oil...infused broth udon are gob-smacking. Surprisingly, it’s not just all novelty. Taste, ingredients and craftsmenship were good. The cheapest omakase of 12 items are reasonably priced at $38. The best of the lot were the tuna and salmon sushi. They were perfectly formed. Matcha tiramisu is beautifully presented in a pot – it’s a gorgeous swirl of flavours, well matched by green good looks that fetch green envy from the other dinersMore
