We did not stay in the hotel but had 4 meals there - food was awesome and plenty of it . Very reasonable prices as well and great mix of dishes. Very nice bar staff and service was prompt . However the staff in the dining hall did not seem to want to be there - May have been some in staff issues but on all 4 visits they seemed very scruffy and disinterested in the place. So sadly that let it down a bit .

The only proper restaurant in town, open lunch and evening, and all day Sunday to 8pm. Probably need to book at weekends, or with big group. Nice menu, including local fish and meat. Well presented, friendly staff.

Based on the quality of the food, ambiance and service, not to mention the wonderful views across the bay, Malvina House shines as clearly the best eatery in Stanley. The meal was near perfect – a codfish ceviche with nicely balanced flavours, a vegetarian Korean-style noodles that was delicious and authentic, washed down with a glass of pinot noir. The place was warm, relaxing and calm, the staff were attentive yet unobtrusive, and the prices extremely reasonable. On a second visit I had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, a copious plate of fish and chips plus mushy peas and side salad, all for less than £25 – less than I would pay at home. The only fault was that the portion of tartare sauce was ridiculously small. The place exudes quality and value-for-money, and would be well positioned in any major city, but happens to be in the stunningly beautiful surroundings of the Falkland Islands.

We had a late lunch and were looking for fish and chips and as recommended by the docent at the Cathedral, the calamari. The staff was very accommodating and courteous. The local beer was nice, the fish and chips were very, very good, but the calamari knocked it out of the park. Without a doubt, the best by far that any of the four of us every had. The calamari and the restaurant are a must to try if in Stanley!!!!

I had the absolute displeasure of dining here a few weeks ago. Booked a table for 7 pm, we were finally seated at 19.55, after 3 attempts at asking front reception if there was a problem. Eventually one of the waiting staff sorted the problem. The food and service were average. For the price, I wouldn't be rushing back, but seeing as it's a rather captive market, not a lot of choice.

A friendly restaurant and hotel, the food is good with a range of dishes including both local produce and also some Asian style choices. The staff were nice and efficient and interesting to talk to having come from all over the world to work here. My favourite meal was local ceviche followed by local lamb. Not quite as good food as the Waterfront down the road but it's cheaper so on balance they are comparable, stone baked pizzas are great, possibly just the desserts let them down a little in comparison. Large windows give a good view out to the bay, there's also a cosy bar area which you can eat in as well.

Visited with family and friends for an evening meal. Very good customer service and tables well spaced out so guests have plenty of room between each other. The Malvina is well located in Stanley with good access from a level car park. Food was of a good quality and well presented without an undue wait. Reasonably priced for one of the more "upmarket" restaurants in the Falklands.

Very filling three course Christmas party lunch, with the guys from work. I had the cheese & crackers for my desert, and it would have been good to have some savory cheeses as well to complement. Overall, it twas golly good!

Friendly hotel with lobby overlooking the sea inlet, just off the main promenade. Worth visiting as a break from sightseeing.

I had visited The Falklands in 2019- just before Covid. I loved it . My daughter was an excellent guide. She was a school nurse there. The reason for contacting the Malvina Hotel recently was to order a bottle of Bubbly to be delivered to her at dinner to mark her leaving after 4 years! The staff were marvellous & so helpful- I recommend it for-the excellent service.

Very disappointing. 4 of us were going to eat here but changed our minds as the assistant manager was totally uninterested, didn’t really want to answer a simple question and was quite rude.

Very comfortable rooms and lovely food, recommend the scallop ceviche. The bar needs some investment as it’s tired and outdated. Friendly staff.
