We went here after seeing it recommended on the internet. It was really delicious. We shared and steak and fries and it was still absolutely huge - even though we had half each we still couldn't finish it. The steak was so delicious, really good meat, and really good value for money and the staff were kind and helpful.

Huge servings! The food is great as well. When I am in Santiago I mostly eat at Juan y Medio, because it really is value for your money. Order a lomo vetado con puré picante and thank me later.

My husband and I ate lunch here, and it was clear this was a local favorite. Although we speak no spanish, were readily able to order. The quantity of food was gigantic!! My husband ordered pork chops, and out came 4 large ones! Grilled, they were delicious. I had a salad, and should've ordered the half-size. Very tasty, with lots... More

Very kind waiting staff and proficient in English. I enjoyed the pork ribs. The portions are very large; in fact, if you're not starving, I would recommend sharing them. Great value. Definitely would visit again.

New to Santiago with no clue where to wine and dine. Our driver recommended Juan Y Medio. Tucked away in a side street off Avenue La Providencia you will find Juan Y Medio a family oriented restaurant with typical Chilean fair on offer. The food was very good, the Pisco Sours were better and we had a ball. A great... More

Had an early dinner here. The chicken with peas was delicious. I made the mistake of ordering fries with it. The fries were good, but portions were huge & I really wanted to try dessert. Didn't eat the fries, enjoyed the celestinas (crepes) -- very sweet & rich!

We visit the last month a very typical Chilean food restaurant. The price are very convenient. And the atmosphere is incredible like a Chilean country party. The service was fantastic. The portion of the dishes were huge. I really recommend that restaurant. You need to taste Terremoto, a typical drink during September or maybe all the year.

The history of Juan y Medio is amazing, and explains the reason why the portions are so large. The founder of the Restaurant was a giant of a man (taller than 2metres) and he expressed his desire to serve "decent meals" The lamb was the tastiest, most succulent that I have had, and the Lengua (tongue) my partners had was... We were taken here by four beautiful local Chilean girls. Great recommendation. This place felt like Chile - great ambiance, clean spacious restaurant, with delicious food and great service - and at a very fair price. The staff dress in traditional Chilean attire, great artwork including a big Chilean flag on the wall - we knew where we were. We... More
