Del Mauro, Zunino, located on a corner just outside the Central Market is a fast food empanada joint. It is small - no seats - you stand at a few counters surrounded by customer's coming and going. There are two cashiers and very long lines....More

Long line but went quickly. The empanadas were fine but nothing I would write home about. Dough was fine the cheese was really just some slices of cheese not really melted. Meat couldn't really taste it and in a gooey sauce.

Chilean empanadas are tasty and these are perfect as Zunino serves locals in Santiago and makes the visitor feel authentic. Have your empanadas piping hot, standing inside Zunino and prefer the "pino" (meat mixture). If you take them for the road, prefer the meat mixture...More

My daughter really want to try empanadas in Argentina even after a big meal at Central market. People recommended this place just around the corner. We were shocked to see so many people were crowded in there and each consuming an empanadas. It had to...More

Hot and tasty empanadas, cold juice and tons of local charm - what more could you want? The empanadas are cheap, like 1000 pesos each, and one is a solid snack. Two could be a light lunch. This is the only place worth going in...More

Stumbled upon this place whilst exploring the city. This place is amazing, locals crowd this place constantly for a bite to eat. We had piping hot pino and queso empanadas and we are struggling to find a way to return here for one last bite...More

We go here all the time - sometimes the wait is a little long but it is well worth it. A little hidden gem in the neighbourhood. I personally like the cheese empanada because the cheese is always really fresh, but my boyfriend loves the...More

The empanadas here are good and cheap. I recommend to travelers who are on a budget and/or trying to experience some local flavor. One If you are hungry, two if you're starving.
