The Austrian-type food is simply deplorable. Salads are decent, however, and ambiance with classical and Latin jazz background is refreshing. Café con leche is superlative, with pitcher of hot leche to the side. So stop for a coffee and forget the rest.

This is a nice cafe where we had a snack and coffee after a day exposing the city. Staff were courteous and nice. Good food.

This place is a good option for those looking for a break from the local fare. They have nice fresh salads and good hot drinks. I came in for the set lunch menu, and they were willing to make a few alterations to accommodate my vegetarian diet, which I greatly appreciated. The prices are of course a bit higher than... More

Service was quick and I enjoyed my 'gringo breakfast'. A little pricey for local Ecuadorian standards at $6.80 for that breakky, when you can get something similar for $3.50 elsewhere. However, you're paying for the pleasant decor, good wifi and ability to sit and relax somewhere comfortable while you read a book or work on your computer, for example. Can't... More

Excellent place to stop for afternoon sweets, coffee and drinks. They have full bar service and a great menu with many selections. You can order a full meal, a sandwich, breakfast at any time and just about any beverage. I loved it. I will definitely return to have "Goulash" that was on the menu. The cakes and tortes are very... The Chocomenta, hot chocolate with cream de mint was exceptionally good. I have had their chocolate deserts before and they were also excellent. Now, they need to start accepting the GringoTree discount card. It would prompt me to come back more offer.

Nice service, good food in a charming atmosphere. The service was spot on and the food was classic. We tried the lasagna among others...delicious! Try the potato soup..just an overall nice place for dinner.

This is the place where I like to spent time writing on my tablet, drinking coffee, eating strudel. It has great old prints of jazz artists and scenes from the 20th century. Most of the music is perfect, inluding some blues. The staff are excellent and most speak some English or will listen patiently as I try my Spanish. Good... More

Cafe Austria was recommended to us for having good brewed coffee. Not only was the coffee good, but we had a good breakfast here also. Omelets, and fat pancakes for our children. The price was a little high by Ecuador standards, but ok. The service was good and friendly. Will likely return.

This cafe was cute and cozy. We ordered lasagna and pancakes and the food was delicious. I love when breakfast is served all day!
