The main reasons for coming to Raymipampa was that my feet were killing me from walking all day the past three days, it was close to my hotel and many TripAdvisor reviews were excellent. I did not have such an experience. First the good: The service was reasonably attentive and the ambiance pleasant. I ordered a glass of red wine... More

We went to Raymipampa upon the recommendation of a local. Their Almuerzo is slightly higher than other places at $4, but the ambiance, cleanliness and portion size make it well worth it! Will definitely return for another lunch soon.

Great service and great food! We had fun with our waiter as he helped us with our Spanish. A very beautiful atmosphere!

There is a large menu in English and Spanish. The food is very good. The atmosphere is nice and it's right in the center of the historic district on Parque Calderon.

Raymipampa is in the main square in Cuenca. It is super popular all day long. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner And the food is very good. I had the trout My first time and delicious chicken seco dish, my 2nd visit. Raymipapa could be described as an Ecuadorian diner, Because of it large menu. This place is a winner.

Large menu with many local dishes included. One dish from the group did not come out until much later. This also happened in another restaurant in town. Seems to be an issue?

Varied menu, good service, friendly atmosphere, reasonable prices. Frequented by local families and gringos alike. English spoken. You can get the large Pilsner here.

We ordered the fettucini and prawns and the grilled fish. We expected a nice pasta and prawn dish instead we were presented with a greasy mash of prawns and fettucini in some kind of oyster sauce gravy! The grilled trout was overly salty and did not taste fresh. Large dishes but they could have done better with the quality given... More

I really enjoyed the two meals I ate here: Plato Typico, and Arroz con Camarones ( this one was take-out). The service was excellent, location can't be beat.

Though, it would be so hard to pick a favorite restaurant from our trip to Cuenca - I think this place is it. The proof? We were in town for a week and we ate here three times. They've got a great selection of tipicas and are very gracious in helping you decide if they are something you might like... More
