My wife and I went with two friends, one an expatriate living in Cuenca. We shared entrees and I thought the chicken dish was rather unique, the beef, fish and vegetarian choices were OK, but nothing special. The chef makes a grand production of desert. Inexpensive for a grand multi-course meal by USA standards.

This restaurant is a must go dining place if you are visiting Cuenca-Ecuador. Probably the best in town, serving tipicall ecuadorian fusion food. Located at a nice and quiet downtown's street, Tiesto's is a very wanted restaurant so, specially if you are going at dinner time, you should make reservations in advance to avoid the risk of geting there and... It's a place where you get to taste all kinds of things from bitter-sweet to spicy. The chef is one of a kind along with the service. We've been going for the last five years and each time we love it even more. You must try the "lomo al tiesto" and if you are vegetarian the eggplant. ENJOY! It's one... More

The way in which meals are served is very different at this restaurant. Most main courses are made for 2, 3 or 4 people. We chose Pollo La Tiestos, chicken fillets with a rich vegetable sauce. Before the main course is served, bread is provided with nine individual dips ranging from mild to hot in taste. The main course is... More

We get used to incredibly priced food in Ecuador. Here is not that but does offer incredible value. The lomo fino medallions and sauces are to die for. Decent english spoken if needed also. Make it a must-go your first time in Cuenca.

This place is a food and taste orgy. Both of us agreed it was the best meal we've every had. It started with 9 salsas served with bread, each successive one increasing in spiciness. They were all delicious, especially the eggplant and apple. The entrees came quickly after - surf and turf with humongous shrimp and filet. They were accompanied... More

The food was pretty good at Tiesto's! Although we were not pleased with the service. We arrived without a reservation and had to wait (which is expected at such a busy restaurant and on winter vacation), but nobody acknowledged us until half an hour after we were sitting next to the door. I was expecting at least a "Hi, we'll... More

We were all very excited to eat at Teistos. We were a bit nervous as it took awhile for all four of us to get menus (we began with 3) and to order. The provided sauces and bread were a good starter, but in spite of asking 3 times we never got more bread. The entrees had some of the... More
