We kept talking about how good it was. The desserts wonderful. The chocolate mousse with whisky, the chocolate cake with oporto and vanilla ice cream and black berries, ummm.... More

We were first here two years ago upon visiting Cuenca for the first time. It seems like many restaurants are not able to maintain the high standards we encountered on our first visit but La Esquina has done so. We will return again!

I was a bit disappointed in my meal, I had the Neapolitan Chicken. It was edible, just not great, and I found this restaurant fairly highly priced in comparison to others.

Go for one of the "iron disc" plates - big enough to share for 2-4 people, depending on your appetite. Save room for dessert (worth the splurge for sure)! Decent happy hour prices and nice ambiance!

Went with a group/tour... service was excellent and food outstanding. Large groups are always a challenge for a restaurant and they handled it.

My husband and I had the chicken and veggie iron meal and loved every bite. Be forewarned: it is advertised as being for two people, but could easily feed three or four.

Terrific selection of Argentinian versions of the Spanish paella. Huge servings, entrees meant to be shared. Pair with any Argentinian Malbec or Cab or Carmenere (go for anything marked Reserva) and you're in gastronomic heaven. Reserve for dinner.
