After we ate here we looked at the reviews and there seem to be quite a few bad ones which I don't understand. This place was recommended by our guide while we were on a walking tour of the city as being good for local food so we gave it a go, it is in a quiet court yard and... More

My husband and I ate here after visiting the Santa Catalina Monastery, and also from a recommendation from our guide, Elizabeth. It was a nice choice as it had an open patio, fresh flowers were around and it looked very attractive, with the flag of Peru at each table. We were served the roasted corn nuts, which we get at our... We really enjoyed the alpaca but the other food was fine as well and everything reasonally priced. Staff very friendly and a nice traditional location

Fettucine and mushroom soup was ordered and came quickly. Very creamy and I was unable to finish my fettucine. Music was old rock classics played on pan flute and very soothing. After some trouble with paying (The restaurant did not have change money for a big note and my VISA debit card did not work), I accidentally left without my... More

The restaurant is close to the Plaza de Armas, on the way to Santa Catalina Monastery. It has an outdoor patio which is quite nice, while the interior setting is not. They were catering a group, we luckily got in first. The food was good, prices are mid range (between 25 and 50 soles per dish). The alpaca stroganof with... More

Pretty courtyard, lovely linen and flower covered tables. That is the best part of dining here. They advertise their cuy, so we gave it a try. Service was pleasant, but given the incredibly large menu, we should have known better. No one does that many dishes well. My husband's cuy was dry and stringy. My salad was over dressed, and... I was drawn in by the flowers on the table-rare in Peru -and the pleasant courtyard. Also, it was close to our hotel, the Santa Rosa. We came for lunch and the plates were huge, but the food was ok. We returned for dinner, because, again, it was close to the hotel. However, I ordered chicken soup with vegetables. What... More

Last week I spent a whole week in Arequipa, and I tested differents places. One day I tried the Wayrana restaurant, I went with a group of friends, and it was the WORST decision. Terrible service, bad food, they don't know what to do. They don't have experience, and even are more expensive than other close places, that have better... More

I went there for lunch with my husband, the place looked nice, but not nicer than many places in Arequipa. The first impression was good because the waiter offered us a maracuya sour, and we ordered right away a choclo con queso (corn with cheese), an ocopa arequipeña (potatoes with sauce, fried cheese and eggs) and 2 salads. After at... More

It was recommended to us by a tour guide as a cheap and clean place but we found the opposite. Classic tourist trap. Lamb ...terrible.
