My wife and I arrived in Lima in the evening, fresh from a meal at Acurio's La Mar in Santiago Chile to the pleasure of a casual style authentic Peruvian menu at Acurio's small restaurant near our hotel in SAN Isidro. The ambiance is active but relaxing, the service prompt and friendly and the menu representative of a wide variety... More

This restaurant was close to my hotel. Very cordial waiter. I ordered the typical Aji the Gallina. Excellent taste. The drink I ordered which was a mix of papaya and pineapple was to die for, really good. It all came down to usd 13, for quite a good meal. The restaurant is really nice although a little bit noisy. Service... More

Went for dinner with family and friends. We were staying at Novotel and the restaurant is one block walking distance from the hotel. Good value for money and choice of food is great. They ran out of fish that evening Even though we went at 7 pm. I guess they had too many visitors from the APEC summit. The cilantro... More

Tanta is a peruvian chain restaurant in Lima. This is my preferred location. Whilst it is in the less tourist populated area of Lima ( San Isidro is the Financial business area of Lima), i find the ambiance to be better here, with more attentive staff and higher standards than the Lacomar outlet ( based in the more busy and... The restaurant is quite good, so is the food, considering its category, it is a simple place, with tables without tablecloth and paper napkins. So if you have the right expectations, is a good place to visit.

We ate dinner there 2 days in a row. The food is very good. The service was great both nights. The waiters all speak English and all our questions were always answered. The suggestions that they had for us, were just great, for our first visit to Peru. The green tamales were outstanding. The deserts were AMAZING.

It might not be like grandma's cooking but its a good start. The price is touristy but the selection is delicious. Its perfect for a date night when yall cant figure out what to eat. 98% of the time, a Tanta is close to things you can do before or after so the location is a plus. Service is well... More
