Throughout our 11 day trip to Peru we talked with many fellow travelers and, when talking of places to eat in Lima, many recommended Panchita. Fortunately, at the end of our trip we stayed in a Miraflores Hilton and Panchita was a very quick taxi ride away. Since we had a 1am departure that night/next morning, this was our last... More

The food was amazing, a mate and I ordered this amazing beef dish with rice and veg plus we added on the buffet salad bar. The food was amazing, the beef melted in your mouth, the salad was all fresh and had an amazing range. If you're not a backpacker, it's definitely a beautiful place to eat, the ambience and... More

Just one Ceviche and one tiradito on the menu. This is a meat and non-Ceviche paradise. The food is what the locals call 'creole' cuisine, i.e. Andean non-seafood stuff. All was just sensational, especially a selection of 5 types of tamales and the interestingly named Ají de Gallina, a Lima speciality. We also had a steak which was very tasty... More

Best aji gallina I have ever eaten...just fabulous. Big portions so order with plans to share with each other. Everything we ordered was delicious and the service was excellent....taking time to describe dishes we were not familiar with!

One of the best restaurants in meats and peruvian food in Lima. The management of Gastón Acurio (perhaps the best Peruvian chef in recent years) is perceived. The only drawback is that it is usually very crowded. The waiting list for entering can exceed 45 minutes. But once inside, be prepare to enjoy.

We came here to give a try to "grandmother traditional food" ...traditional? I am not sure after reading one of the bad reviews. The place is very nice, very big. The menu is a mess ... completely hard to understand ...The Spanish is as complicated as the English one ... what a complicate menu. My suggestion is that some pictures... More

I loved this restaurant! Its a most! The place is nice and has a good vibe. The food is really good. We had a noodle with beef soup that was awesome and some swordfish that was also really good. Its a great place to go with family or friends. The waiters are really friendly giving a great service.

we went for a family lunch, two small kids included. Everybody chose a different meal and all of us were satisfied at the end. This restaurant is also one of Gastons places and thus always good quality and big portions. I would go back with hunger. mark

This place is a bit pricey but well worth the expense. The atmosphere is great, the service first class and the food is outstanding. We arrived at Panchitas -- two adults, two children, on a busy Thursday night with no reservations. The place was packed but the hostess invited us to sit down in a comfortable bar area. Before we... Expensive. Peruvian food can not compare with other not so published restaurants. They changed the simple and delicious Peruvian dishes to an European style, well presented but tasteless dishes. Can not understand its popularity. May be just a social place to go.
