Three of us went there for lunch and we all enjoyed it. It's a popular spot and the menu includes all the favorite Peruvian dishes. We shared a nice place of various starters and they were all great. I also recommend their chicha morada - very refreshing. Service was good and I noticed a small private cooking class going on... More

The waiter and the maître were very friendly, explained us all the dishes one by one. The food was delicious, i specialy like tasting new flavours, we had a traditional ceviche and arroz con pato (they say its for one person but its huge, can easily share it). If you plan to visit the National Archeological Museum and the Larco... More

The food was what you call "old school" and not fancy at all. While the arroz con pollo (chicken in cilantro rice) was exactly as I remember it from my childhood, the coops sauce lacked the spiciness I like. The green tamales tho were again superb, as well as the picarones. The setting is beautiful, in an old house with... More

This was my first experience in Lima, and it couldn't have been better. We went for the sunday buffet, and got to try a lot of peruvian cuisine in a nice place with great service. Definitely recommended.

Make your reservation and you enter heaven. The service is impeccable impeccable, a very friendly waiter who is serving all these fine dishes you order and serving you a Pisco as appetiser on the house. I had a Ceviche de la casa as starter, a Tacu Tacu de la casa and Picarones as desert. Wow it was more than deliciuos.... More

I had slow cooked beef (Lomo seco) with charcoal grilled rice and beans (tacu tacu) which is just as good as it gets for local food in Peru. Great atmosphere with long tables for parties or family groups in a large open plan seating area with wood fires and the cooking going on within sight. Great place to experience the... More

If you ever have the pleasure of visiting Pueblo Libre when in Peru this should be on the to visit list...the food here is great but be warned you can't get a cocktail only beer and on the weekend it's packed.

We were a party 12 people. The menu was extensive with typical peruvian food. It was a week end lunch and the main floor was busy. We arrived past lunch hour so we were offered the back room which was for large parties. The starter were ceviche and jalea which were prepared very nicely. Many entress were served and they... We visited this place as part of a culinary tour in Lima. The chef taught us how to make ceviche and causa. It was fun to observe the process, but it was the flavors that were most impressive. Both dishes were excellent. The decor is also very nice, with a nice example of the equipment used for making pisco. A... More
