We found this restaurant in the very useful 'Guru'guay' guide which you can buy in bookstores in Montevideo. Food is good, excellent wine and very friendly service. By the time we left at around 9pm the place was full on a Friday evening. A good find.

It is a perfect small restaurant located in the old part of the city. The warm atmosphere greets you. I have gone a few times for lunch and none of the dishes were disappointing from start to finish. The lunch menus are quite reasonably priced considering the relatively high restaurant meal prices in Montevideo.

I had a wonderful experience here -- the salmon (grilled, in a mustard sauce) was among the best I've had - and I eat a ton of salmon in New York and LA. The waitress was incredibly nice, and attentive without being over-bearing. Glass of wine and entrée for under $30 USD

This food was bad, really bad. As this restaurant had a very good rating on tripadvisor, and was next to our hotell, my wife and myself went there. The good stuff: the red wine was ok. The bad stuff, we went for the set price 3 course menu. As main course was beef. It was not grilled, but was made... More

Delicious fresh ingredients handled with care and skill. Nice decor, soft lights and plenty of windows. Easily reached by strolling along the pedestrian Sarandí St. we lived the salad, and our entrees of a seafood medley over greens and a wonderful white firm fleshed fish (brótola, or Brazilian codling, in English; but it's a local fish to Uruguay, saw them... On a breezy rainy Friday evening we chose Dueto based on other reviews as well as proximity to our hotel (the Radisson). We were so pleased that we did; it is lovely setting, wonderful attentive service, and beautiful food caringly prepared. We recommend highly!

We ate lunch at Dueto with friends, and went with the fixed menu. You have two options, a three course meal (entree, main, and dessert) for 560 P, or a two course (without an entree) option for 520 P. Both options include Salus mineral water. As the portions are small, I suggest you go for the three course meal. You... More

Nice place to go for fine dinning. We found a blog online that said you could eat here 3 courses for 500 PESOS. but thats not the case any more. so be prepared to spend around 900 per person.

Excellent Italian restauran in the Ciudadela part of Montevideo. Owners take care of you like you are kings. Food and service is outstanding. Owner was the one taking care of us. When I asked for a wine recommendation she rightly suggested the cheaper one. I had the rack of lamb that was excellent and cooked just right. My companion asked... More

It's a bit of a pricey meal but it's well worth it. After we toured the Teatro Solis, we were in search of a lunch spot and were drawn to Dueto on based on all its great tripadvisor reviews. First off it's definitely a family run business as the staff are a husband and wife that opened the restaurant together.... More
