It was recommended by our guide but I expected more. Food it’s ok nothing special and the price was high if you consider the mount of food. The staff were polite but not friendly.

Big drop in quality vs what we experienced before in terms of overall quality. Apparently new menu with limited offer, that's fine, but totally tasteless. It felt like all was set up for the turistic season ... and ideed it seams like this is their...More

I’ve been at Agava for a dinner and I asked for chicken with baby spinach and mustard. Very salty and no more. Any way, the desert included a lot of vinegar and this made my evening probably the worst for this year and maybe more....More

Really enjoyed the excellent food and the very welcoming service. The waiter we had, was a true professional, the kind of which one thought extinct. From starters to dessert, a very enjoyable evening out.

After a walking tour of Zagreb, We searched for a nice quite place to have lunch. This restaurant was perfect. Our waiter, Predrag, was exceptional. Appetizers were the prosciutto and cheese with olives. And our entire family ordered the Croatian specialty Pašticada. It was outstanding....More

Agava certainly deserves its excellent reputation. Great food and impeccable service. Elegant. We were seated up near the top of the terraced outdoor dining area and the location was really fun -private and above the noise but still connected to the busy scene below. A...More

On a street of bar food, coffee and burgers - this outstanding restaurant was seemingly out of place in the best way possible! We really enjoyed the dual menu of European cuisine and typical Croatian cuisine. Terraced above the street level restaurants Agava offered both...More

Wonderful lunch at Agava. Beautiful setting with good food and good service. Very convenient location - we sat on the terrace. We were a group of 10 or so and everything worked perfectly.

We did not need a reservation, we ate early. You may need one if you eat later, say after 7:00 pm.

Description
"Restaurant AGAVA" - a place where fine dining truly meets a casual atmosfere. This is very special place, a bit hidden, a bit shy...A classic Italian restaurant filled with subtle dark colours and distinctive lightning. Wide windows provide an unique view, and in spring and summer the green terrace will attract you immediately. The restaurant was opened in 2005. It is runned by Belizar Milos (owner/partner) who is also the main chef, responsible for many mediterranean delices and beyond. So, come to the number 39 of Tklaciceva street... It'll take you 39 staircases to come to your little hiding place.
