POSITIVE THINGS:
1. Large portions of food, sufficient for average needs.
2. Fairly prompt service (order time was 7pm), duration was 20 minutes.
3. Food well done, tasty, hot and good looking. especially the dish for 6 people, which we ordered;
4. Pleasant atmosphere, as...usual.
NEGATIVE THINGS:
1. When paying for our meal, the waiter "offered" us two possibilities to pay the tip (10% or 15%) and almost summoned us to choose one of them. I consider it an abuse to impose the tip, which should be left to the customer's discretion.
2. At our request to turn on the air conditioning, the waiter immediately replied that it does not work, which is unacceptable in a location in the center of Bucharest, at rush hour and at high temperatures.
3. On the restaurant's website it is mentioned that the use of cutlery is optional. Only spoons and knives were brought to the table. When we asked for forks, the waiter, in an arrogant tone, tried to tell us that it is a medieval restaurant and in the Middle Ages people ate without cutlery. Only our firm insistence convinced the waiter to stop his medieval stories and bring us forks.
4. The desserts we ordered were absolutely banal and of dubious quality: cheap ice cream, fruit salad made from compotes, no whipped cream and no alcohol.
5. Lack of cushions on the (medieval, it's true) wooden chairs, when after an evening spent there, you would like to go home without a sore seat or back.
In conclusion, compared to the first 4 previous visits, the overall quality has gone down, making us think more carefully about whether or not to return.More
