This restaurant is very popular, but it was good we went twice in our short stay we enjoyed it so much. The waiters are good fun, the spectacle adds to the atmosphere of the grandiose decoration. The food is not for the faint hearted, huge portions of country style cuisine, but it's a really good evening, very reasonably priced

Famous in Bucharest, reservation recommended however all three times when we came without it, after 15-20 mins of waiting at the bar, they found a table for us. Interior is breathtaking - stunning building, beautiful decorations inside, large and loud, always full of people, with live music. Food is ok, nothing amazing, but decent and massive portions. Sausages, pig knuckle... More

We had a nice Romanian dinner in this place. We ordered Sarmale (good enough but the rice i think was over-boiled) which had mamaliga as side-dish (average taste) and ribs with baked potatoes (very delicious!). As a dessert we had the Papanasi (very tasty!). It is a big restaurant and a little crowded and they had a Violin concert but... More

This place is Amazing inside, old fashioned but cozy, ya can't stop looking around at the stained glass windows and architecture. If you want to eat here, make a reservation early. We made one but unfortunately no tables available on the ground floor so we had to go in basement which was still just as nice but disappointed it being... More

The restaurant itself is in a great location, offers a large variety of good food/drinks, yet it's too crowded. Since I went there in many occasions, it doesn't impress too much. I also had some bad experience with the service, but that happens anywhere. I would certainly recommend it to visit it at least once.

Went there for an business meeting and unfortunately it was in the cellar. The music was too loud for the room and unfortunately the food, other than beeing a large quantity was not great.

The place is so beautiful! and the food was amazing! Dessert (Papanasi) is to die for really. Service was really fast and friendly (kudos to our friend Antonio there!). We arrived a little bit before 6 pm so no need for reservation.

The flag ship of Romanian traditional food and restaurant. Highly recommended to book in advance. Located in the old city,it is the place to get the tasets and atmosphare of romanian dining. A large hall with balconies ,live traditional music (and dance somtimes).. Try to book a table downstairs or on the balony where you can see the main hall.... More
