Enso has established itself as one of Belgrade’s leading restaurants of modern cuisine, which was once again confirmed by Michelin Guide recommendation. We have put our focus into creating gastronomic masterpieces through combining diverse flavours, using original recipes. Our specialty is merging peak culinary craft with artistic presentation to present you perfect dishes. Enso team follows the latest trends but it also sets them. Chef Nedeljko, with his expertise and creativity, created a menu that raised the bar in Serbia’s modern culinary scene, and brought it to international levels. The menu is seasonal and the chef only use fresh and locally grown products of the highest quality. The term Enso is represented by a single circular stroke of the brush, as seen in the restaurant logo. It represents that moment in time, when the mind is free and allows the body to create without limits. This way, the name of the restaurant has determined the restaurant’s philosophy.

Enso Restoran came highly recommended by friends in Belgrade, as a Michelin star dining experience. A place you visit as a destination restaurant, as the location leaves a little to be desired, located off a busy road, but the setup has been designed to ensure you have the privacy of a fine dining establishment. We feel this is definitely more of a dinner establishment as opposed to a long lazy lunch restaurant. During the hot summer days of Belgrade, unfortunately, the comfort isn't there, due to no air conditioning or fans, inside and outdoors. This did cause us to shorten our typical long lazy lunch due to the level of comfort. When charging a higher premium for food and wine, you do expect the little extra luxuries to ensure you can enjoy the experience. Front of the house go out of their way to make you feel welcome and very attentive service, unfortunately, the back of the house just needs that little bit of extra effort, although we suspect during the evening you will receive the experience that you expect. The food was good, and plated beautifully, unfortunately, the steak was served rare as opposed to medium as requested, overall felt a little rushed, even though we were the only guests dining that day. The Interior indoors is stunning and huge marks for our very attentive and friendly waiter, he definitely made our day.

Doesn’t really look posh or gourmet, and the food is very different in quality. The dishes were either not good or very good - no inbetweens. Tom Yam is plain and not flavorful, served warm. For spiciness we were offered Tabasco which is not a good solution at all. Bloody Mary shots were hot and excellent, but a full glass cocktail was hard to finish due to overwhelming Tabasco. Beef steak was way too salty. On the good side, rabbit terrine, duck breast and dessert were excellent. And the place is pricey

Amazing restaurant

Our small family went there last month to celebrate The Women's Day. The restaurant is well-decorated with a lot of wooden elements. The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere. Welcoming waiter gave us a menu. It was a tablet with tabs of salads, main courses, (beverage) drinks with a small picture and description about every dish. We decided to try the 5 courses ‘Freestyle’ set menu by the chef. The food was amazing! Every dish is well-prepared and served with tasty sauces. Our little daughter tried every dish except dessert, she especially liked goose and fish. The dessert was delicious: soufflé with caramel with coffee and fruit sauces. The portions were small, but we were full because we had eaten 5 different dishes. The waiter was extremely helpful and told us about every dish. Somebody can say that the restaurant is too expensive. But in my opinion it was good value for money, because the food was incredible - creative cooking dishes with rich flavours.

This restaurant is wonderful with food that is beyond delectable, and the waiter is among one of the nicest people I have ever met. With the explanation given by the waiter you get a deeper understanding of the food which you indulge in. The ambience of a restaurant is of the utmost importance, and this restaurant nails it ambience with a dark but yet well illuminated atmosphere, and fitting music. Lili, Joey and Mogens

Nice food, average restaurant

We had tasting menu, it was quite nice food, fresh, but they could have prepared it in a more interesting way.. This restaurant is trying to be Michelin-like, but somehow lacks the full experience and imagination amazing restaurants have. Also, garden is below any decent standards, needs some cleaning and to look a bit more "fancy".

Amazing Food in a Smoke-Filled Restaurant

Enso deserves it’s Michelin recommendation, but our experience was very mixed. The restaurant itself is fairly small with a modern, trendy interior. We decided to order from the a la carte menu so we could try as many items as possible between the two of us and not be limited by the tasting menu. I will start by saying the food is absolutely fantastic. Between the two of us, we ordered a large portion of the menu and every course seemed to be better than the last, and all of them were excellent. The food quality, inventiveness and presentation are deserving of at least one Michelin star in our opinion. I would fly back to Belgrade just to eat here. Enso has one major issue they need to solve. Serbia still allows smoking in restaurants and we had smokers next to us and behind us. The tables are very close together so you will be affected by the smoke from other diners. The restaurant was full of smoke and the staff attempted to open the door to allow in some fresh air; only to be scolded by some diners who complained about the draft. They then turned up the air conditioning to try and remove some of the smoke, but it remained an issue. Enso needs to at least try to seat all the smokers together. I’m sure the food would have tested even better if it didn’t have the extra “Marlboro Spice” . The other issue we had was with the service. Our server (Jelena) was pleasant enough, but not as polished as one would expect from a restaurant at this level. She only brought one of our main entrees and never brought the other. When we were finally able to get her attention, she wanted to argue with us stating we had only ordered one main and that if we wanted a second, it would “only “ be an additional twenty-five minute wait. We received no apology and no attempt to correct the situation. At this point, it was late, we reeked of smoke and just wanted to remember the amazing food and not the poor service. Overall, the chef at Enso should be celebrated. The food is fantastic. Hopefully they can work on the ambience and service issues.

Culinary Experience to Remember

Firstly I would like to thank Nanat our waiter as he was attentive and amazing throughout our meal. We came from London and opted for the 10 course culinary experience with wine pairing which I would hugely recommend to anyone visiting if the you have a bit of money to burn as it is expensive for Belgrade however not when you take into account what you get. Over 3 hours we had 10 course + a complimentary course. This was coupled with 10 different wines (many locally sourced) and a complimentary cognac to finish off. Personal favourites were the ravioli with sage froth, the goose which was sublime and the aubergine with miso and glazed honey which is better than most meat dishes I've tried. All in all a phenomenal experience and Nanat took the time,care and attention to detail to make it the highlight of our trip to Belgrade. So a massive thank you!

Amazing food! Surprise in tastes!

We were literally blown away with the beautiful dishes . We decided on two appetizers to start, and then decided on two more before desserts. This means we must go back to try the mains as well! The watermelon served as a classical Asian tuna was amazing, the sweet and sour macarons are worth a trip (hint inspector). The octopus was tearful nicely done but the combination of banana ice cream and rabbit really finished the night. I will end with the start: as an amuse you’ll get a bloody Mary (nice), but the foie gras with a glacé of Cuba Libre is too good to be true, so we asked for more :-) Worth a trip and definitely a detour!

Still quality at the highest level

It's been a few years since we last visited Enso, so it was time to check if they still maintained the level we've experienced there before. To check if the quality was the same as previous visits, we took a ten-course tasting menu. This lived up to expectations in terms of quality and taste. If you have to complain a little, it must be that some of the dishes were a little too small, so you didn't get to taste the dish as it would appear in a normal portion size. Even in places like Enso, you should not forget that almost everything is shareable and you will not be looked at strangely if you do just this. The portions are, as usual in Serbia, large, so three starters will often do more than fill you up. This means that if you are two people, you can try five to six starters if you share and leave happily from there. Having said that, many of the main courses do not come as starters, but it still applies that you can share. Definitely worth the visit. Is it worth the money, for sure. So I can safely say that Enso is still up there on Belgrade's top list of restaurants.

The food is mediocre, some items practically inedible. Took the full set of 10 positions. I think if you serve a piece of meat very small , even for this format of restaurants, it should be very tender and not hard and tasteless. Not a very good experience. Not matching price quality

Excellent cooking, tasty presentation, attentive service

I like smallish portions. After Enso's standard appetizer, a three-course dinner with glasses of white, red, and dessert wine satisfied my moderate appetite. My main course was veal belly -- teleći pau(n)flek in Serbian. Skilled kitchen made this inferior cut of meat into a delicious dish. Attentive waiter and chatty bartender served me well. On a Thursday night, most but not all tables were occupied. In my experience, Enso is one of several best restaurants in Belgrade.

This spot is a great for casual lunch! If you want to try unique taste of well known dishes, this is the place for you! Pleasent enterier and nice and decent staff - not imposing yet very welcoming! Definitely recommendation! We will come back!

I have never had such a good lamb nor desert. Anywhere.

The highlights of the dinner, for me, was undoubtedly their refined meat and the desert which name I can't remember. It was like a small round cheesecake with salt caramel around it. Now back to the lamb. Imagine a round block of room temperature butter being cut by a knife. That's the texture. Tastewise it was all the best that one could imagine when having lamb. I am recommending this to every one visiting belgrade, the prices are definitely worth it!! You should try the lamb.

Heavenly fusion

From the very first step you make here you feel like you are at right place and that there is no need to wonder any longer on this world. Our waiter Nenad made us feel very comfortable and create an atmosphere around us. Timing was perfect and information provided were more than useful and added an additional flavor to the whole experience. Excellent creative food

Very interesting modern and creative food in a comfortable setting with very good service. Particularly good selection of wines by the glass. A regularly changing menu, either based on various tasting options or à la carte with a good variety of smaller dishes. Particularly enjoyed the goose which is quite a regular feature, also now dishes since my previous visit - delicious gyozas and goat's cheese with cherries and oat crumble, bresaola of duck.
