The concierge of our hotel (Intercontinental) recommended this restaurant and we were pleased he did. The food was nice and very fresh. My colleagues had fish (salmon and makrel) and it contained quite a bit of small fish bones in it, but otherwise it was fine and nicely presented as well. Price for the combination of soup/chicken /sidedish grilled vegetables... More

Food is really nice and very modern. Prices are very reasonable (perhaps due to the exchange rate) but nonetheless was very good value for money. Service is also very good. Cocktails were also lovely.

Needed a cosy restaurant that showcased the highlights of Ukrainian cuisine in the centre of Kyiv. Spotykach welcomes you with some homemade Gorilka. The decor is like a front room or parlour and makes you feel very welcome. The food and attentive service is also welcoming. We tried the Borsch, Golubtsi and other traditional Ukrainian dishes. All excellent. Definitely recommend... More

The menu is very creative, which sometimes pays off. Each item is offered two ways- traditional, and in a new form. The salo isdecent, though nothing exciting. Their traditional Chicken Kiev is delicious, and their new version, as meatballs in a spaghetti sauce is just as tasty. Their new version of cabbage rolls are delicious. The dumplings are nothing to... More

Renovated traditional Ukrainian restaurant. The right place to go for visitors of Ukraine: national dishes are very specific here, pirogi for example are made in the colors of Ukrainian flag, borshch is available in the form of ice cream ( frozen like an Eskimo). Must admit that the taste of dishes is ordinary - not bad but not delicious. Personnel... More

This place is so weird. It's located in a basement, looks like a dungeon from the outside. Decor is super old school UA. Dishes seemed pretty local to me and it was difficult to find something I knew, or how to pronounce. I ended up getting the borscht which was good and potato pancakes which were full of frying oil.... More

I'm an Eastern European, so food selection was not something I found completely new here. Quality was very good though. I really liked that they had choices both for old and new cuisine. Basically, everyone would have at least some choice. Meniu was clear, but could have more information, like pictures. I ordered a what I thought was a burger,... More

The best I have found in Kyiv, certainly good service and food. Wine was ok but not great although not expensive. Certainly will go back very soon.

I had the Ukrainian dumplings which were very tasty. The waitress was very attentive and food came fairly quickly. My friend had the chicken Kiev which he said was the best he had ever tasted. Cheap for travellers but I did not see many locals inside. Would recommend for your visit.

Thank Adam S

Yes, Spotykach really be proud! With such care together under one cover the most famous culinary hits of the Soviet era have not for everyone. Here is what restaurant critics over the years will be called "Ukrainian cuisine of the Soviet period," and the mere process of reading the menu is wild appetite. Salad leaves traditional herring under a fur coat, Olivier, Mimosa Capital, salad with beans and a dozen names. Then begins an even more pleasant discoveries. Take, for example, herring with anchovies on potatoes with onions or perch with mushrooms, fried pancakes. Sated fangled delights metropolitan restaurants audience inevitably return to the simple joys that are certain to become trump card Spotykach.
