We had fish, all of which was well prepared and very fresh. The person who took us there said that this is a popular restaurant with the locals, so you know the food will always be good. The prices were very reasonable. Well worth the scenic drive.

The ambiance of the restaurant is really nice. Besides the spectacular view of Panama City skyline, the wind adds a pleasant element to the experience. Food wise, it is good. Nothing remarkable but good. I had te jumbo lobster with creole sauce. I expected something spicier but it was slightly more to the sweet side, nonetheless tasteful. Service is slow... More

We arrived at noon & were the only 3 people in the restaurant. After waiting 15 minutes for a server to notice us I finally had to ask the manager to take our order. The restaurant began filling up, every other table got their food while we still waited for ours. After waiting another 30 minutes I AGAIN asked the... More

It's a little bit out of the way, on the Causeway, but worth going to , so best to make an evening of it. Be aware that getting there in a taxi can be a pain in rush hour due to traffic jams (taxis surprisingly don't charge you more to sit in a traffic jam for ages, but it can... More

As part of our tour with Barefoot Panama, we stopped here for lunch. Our guide, Kevin, helped to explain the menu which had lots of choices. The sea bass was delicious.

After visiting the Biodiversity Museum and the Smithsonian Research Institute we were getting over heated. Mi Ranchito is directly beside the Smithsonian and a welcome stop for a cold beer and lunch. The food was "ok" but the location was well received.

The only good thing I can say is the beers were cold when we finally got them. Granted it is a holiday and the restaurant was busy but when we sat down the crowd had started to thin. Waited over 20 minutes before a waiter came to the table. It was another 20 minutes or more before we got drinks-... More

This is a nice looking restaurant with some views. It was very crowed and we had maybe a 20 minute wait. Our table gave us a view of the hotel pool. The food was average as was the service but we enjoyed the rest after the long walk in the sum. It is right next to the Smithsonian park entrance.

Prices are hefty but the food has very little flavor. It looks great and leaves you full but just not a particularly satisfying mouthwatering experience

I have been to Panama quite a few times and I always stay at the Country Inn and Suites on the Canal and I always eat at Mi Ranchito at the beginning and end of my trips. I like to sit under the Palapas even if I have to wait a little longer. I love the city view from there.... More
