We opted to order off the menu for our first time there, though I had second thoughts as I studied it on our way out afterward. Lamb masala for me, butter chicken for my friend. We both opted for mild spice; our sauces looked very similar, though I didn't taste hers. Basmati rice - accompaniment - was light and flavorful.... More
Ate here with a few family members and overall the food quality was quite good. Was a bit too spicy for one person, and I'd say in general if you want zero spice Indian is not a good choice. I'm not a big spicy food eater and I found a milder option that was good for me and very tasty.... More
Monsoon Indian Bistro is a quiet little restaurant conveniently located on Route 2A in Acton. We very much enjoyed the experience, as the food was quite good and the service was prompt and efficient. The restaurant itself has nice ambience with soft lighting and pleasing eye appeal. In addition, it was quiet - a distinct difference from the built-in noise... More
Fast and friendly service. Also quick to fill my water. The lunch time buffet was great and cheap! Had a wide variety on the buffet line. From vindaloo to desserts. Definitely will go back there. Very clean and tidy.
We love Indian food and are happy to find this place. It's yummy and the wait staff was very friendly. The chicken tikka and palak paneer were great. The garlic naan is a favorite but the plain naan was tasty too. My daughter liked the tandoor chicken, it's like a roasted chicken that tastes grilled. She also LOVED the strawberry... More
Best Indian food we have found within 30 minutes or so of here. Always good service, kid friendly and tasty food. Pretty decent level of spiciness, and even have dosas.
We always enjoy eating Indian food and Monsoon in both Acton and Savoring in Maynard never disappoint. Always a terrific eating experience.
Liked Naan - predictable and good. Buffet has decent choices. Like convenience of location. Like inexpensive appetizer options. Did NOT appreciate - ordering at lunchtime and automatically being charged for a dinner meal (not being offered a choice).
Nothing special but if you're in the mood for Indian food, this is the only show in town. The atmosphere is OK, the portions are decent, and the flavors are OK. Not especially creative and the menu is standard.
