We asked the White Elephant front desk “where do the locals eat” and were told this restaurant. The menu and prices were great however the service and atmosphere were poor.

My family and I had a great relaxed lunch here. The clam chowder was delicious and so were the burgers, but the lobster bisque with the flaky crust was really something special. They don't take reservations, but we didn't have a problem getting a seat....More
This worked for us for a quick drink and a bite to eat while shopping in the area. Burger & fries were excellent! It’s a dark tavern kind of atmosphere though, so if you are looking for ambience, keep that in mind!

Love this old place, but the food has gotten pretty bad. Meanwhile you still pay Nantucket prices. I had some kind of seafood newburge thing that was barely cooked. Surprised I didnt get sick
