We were surprised that many of the restaurants in Antigua served every cuisine except Mexican (sushi in Antigua, really?) so we were glad to find Frida's. Great selection of soft shell tacos and fine margaritas. Nice staff. Nicely decorated with murals representing Frida's work.

The chicken mole enchiladas. The fresh guacamole. The frozen margarita. We fell in love with Antigua but struggled to find that perfect dining experience. Frida's solved that last little niggling problem of a splendid vacation. The eclectic bar atmosphere probably appealed more to our savvy 20-something daughter but wasn't too loud or overpowering for us 60-somethings. Servers are efficient and... More

We hopped into Freda's on our last day in Antigua. I had been fighting off a cold and their delicious "Levantamuertos" soup certainly raised me from the dead. The atmosphere was lovely and the service was fantastic. Overall, we had a great time here, and even sampled some of their house Mezcal, which was very good as well!

Frida's is a fun, atmospheric bar decorated with Frida Khalo images from front to back. On a quiet Monday evening, we simply sat at the bar and enjoyed a couple ice cold Gallos. For a snack, we ordered a plate of their tacos al Pastor. They're not quite what one gets on the streets of Mexico City, but they are... More

This restaurant and bar is amazing. I was in Antigua 4 nights, and was in Fridas at least once every single day! The owner is incredibly warm and welcoming, the management staff is so accomodating, and every employee makes your visit an experience in the best possible way! The food is great, the drinks are delicious, and the live music... More

The food here is really good and very consistent. We visited several times and had great service each time. They also have great deals almost every night to keep costs down. The only reason I gave this a 4 out of 5 is because if you go on a night with no deal, the price is a little much for... More

Frida's is right near the Arch in Antigua - nice atmosphere, great bartender named Santiago. Basic and very reasonable - nice place to hang out.

The staff was very friendly and good. The food was pretty good, but... not as good as their neighbors in Mexico. The drinks were very good though. It is very close to the arc, so you might as well have a look. Outside of the restaurant they had a very old, highly decorated VW Beetle.

Great food and great atmosphere! My husband and I arrived into Antigua very late on a Wednesday and stumbled into Frida's almost by accident. Couldn't have been happier! Our server Sergio went above and beyond making sure we were comfortable and providing us with great information about the local area as well as being incredibly patient with my less than... More

We got to this restaurant a little randomly, it is located in the city center and serves great drinks and food. The chicken nachos with guacamole are to die for!!! Prices are more than reasonable and portions are good - we shared nachos and one appetizer and we were good to go as a quick snack. Their frozen margaritas are... More
