The food was simple and beautiful and very well priced. I ate there twice and would recommend it to fellow travellers for a cheapish tasty meal.

Location, food, and vibe are great but the boat ferry never came to pick us up after eating- we don't have internet in Laos so couldn'tcall for ferry. Not happy. Also the paths to and from the ferry are really makeshift, especially up to village by...restaurant. After ferry never came, ended up walking 1/2 hour back over the permanent bridge.More
This is an excellent and atmospheric restaurant on the far side of the NamKham River. Access is temporarily more difficult as the flood works have removed the seasonal bamboo bridge and the boat ferry service. Even so it's worth the tuk tuk ride or 25...mins walk from downtown Luang Prabang. Lovely seating area above the River and impressive Lao menu. The starter platter was especially good. The two4one offer on cocktails before 7-00 is worth getting there early for. Highly recommended.More
Worst service in town. Came as a family group of 5 adult and 1 child (4 years old). Ordered 3 beers, 1 mojito, 1 mango smoothies and 1 apple juice, 2 platters number 2, 1 pork lab, 1 fish stew in banana leaves with child...menu of kfc chicken (incl mango sticky rice). Took 40 minutes for the drink to came out. Took another 15 mins for food to come out slowly plate by plate. They didn't even give us cutlery and plates. 2 hours after and we still sitting around waiting. It's ridiculous.More
Dear Trang, We are so sorry that you had a bad expérience at our restaurant. Out staff do try their Best to serve and cook rapidly. In February we had a couplé of new waiters, that are normally supervise by order one. But some nights...More
A little bit of checking the map will help you find this popular evening venue. We had the vegetarian platter and larb mushroom and this was plenty to eat. It is possible to self cook as well at the table!
This hotel is on the other side of the river and there is a small boat to cross the river. The boatmen charges 10.000 kip but gives you a ticet and the restaurant gives you this money back once you clear the bill. Since I...went alone I did not try their famous hot pot (which is for at least 2 people) but had a Mok Pa instead (steamed fish cooked in banana leaf with local basil and other herbs). It was very yummy. The location is great and the staff is friendly and efficientMore
The restaurant is opposite the opposite side of Nam Ou, and there's a short boat trip from LP peninsula. We had Sindad, Lao BBQ. It was delicious and had a lot of veggies, which were boiled in hot stock. The atmosphere was coxy and the...staff really friendly. Absolutely worth to visit!More
A very nice and pleasant place on the other side of the Nan Khan river, but the food was not exceptional, our starters were very good, the mains just nothing special. Service is a bit disorganized, Prices reasonable. A nice experience if you have time...but certainly not a must in town.More
Amazing place! Situated in the historic district can be reached by walking or a included short boat across the river.. in itself a little fun adventure already. Just walk down the steps and wave for the boat driver. After entering there is a proper bar...area which leads to tiered seating to enjoy the views. Come around dusk for drinks then stay for the candlelit dinner.. beautiful relaxing place. Ordered the set meat course which comes with a ample amount of veggies. Between the two of the us it was enough but we also tried other dishes. Can option for additional meats or veggies. We went for the recommended Lao bacon which was delicious. Thinly sliced with a good amount of fattiness for grilling. Cook them long until crispy. After dinner take the boat back to the historic area and walk less than ten minutes to the night market. Great food. Very reasonably priced. Beautiful setting. Highly recommend.More
This is a really lovely restaurant which I would highly recommend. It was close to where we stayed so we walked there and had a delightful lunch. Food was very tasty and enjoyable. Cocktails were good, prices were reasonable and staff were very attentive. It...is such a unique setting and the menu has some great choices. Definitely give this one a try.More
Generally, we were disappointed with the quality of food in Cambodia and Laos compared to previous other South East Asia experiences (Thailand and Vietnam in particular) but this restaurant was the exception and was really enjoyable. Lovely setting too high up on the banks of...the river - you cross by the river by a 30 second boat transfer - all adds to the enjoyment.More
Idyllic location, you could stare at the views for days. Staff are very welcoming and the food experience was next level. It was super fun cooking our own BBQ over real charcoal, our favorite dining experience so far.
This place is a must visit! The views are incredible and boat crossing to get here adds to the experience. The setting is very romantic, epic settings across the mountains. The food here is incredible, we cooked our own BBQ and had a 6 seater...table all to ourselves. The staff are super friendly. The food is incredibly good value. This was the best food experience while in Laos. Can't recommend enough.More
This restaurant was perfect. Lovely setting across the river. Looked like a Studio Ghibli film. Great food and service and fun bbq. Definitely worth 'adventuring across the river'.
The Lao BBQ is simple, but rally special as you grill your meat on the top of a metal plate where at the edge your cook vegetables. All at the same time, all on a basket with glowing coal. So, the flavor of the crispy...meat I floating into the soup with vegetable. A blast of tastes. The restaurant’s location and atmosphere are great - several terraces with wooden roof directly at the river next to the small bamboo bridge. Here you may choose to sit on tables or lie on the floor. Service is friendly and quick.More
