Tangor, Restaurant Bar Lounge in Luang Prabang opened 6 Years ago. This bistrot indochinois offer a French cuisine influenced by Asian culture. Using mainly local products, Tangor's menu is composed of western classic recipes but also typical asian dishes. With a wild variety of wine and one the best cocktails list in town, this bar located in the mainstreet is also an option for a before or after dinner. The ambiance, music and colonial setting really make a difference in the charm of this place.

The Tangor is truly as cut above other restaurants we've sampled in LP. I've rarely given full marks (5/5) but it's warranted. We both had the table d'hote 1- fish in coconut sauce and 2- medaillon de porc and it was delish. Un gros and grand merci.

Loved this place! Such great food and the best location. Right on the lovely little street in town, so nice to sit at an outside table and watch the world go by. All food was delicious - particularly the salmon appetizer and the fish entree. Kept going back. Wasn't as big of a fan of the ceviche, but just a personal preference. Owner also very nice. Great spot! Can't wait to go back to Luang Prabang one day and to this little restaurant.

I really enjoyed eating at Tangor, sitting next to the door watching the merry flow of people on the main street. I got a duck magret and this confirmed that Luang Prabang is a great place for French cuisine. Prompt service, delicious food, ideal location.

You get what you pay for in life generally. The Tangor (sister restaurant to the Popolo) has some superb food on the menu for a slightly higher price than other restaurants but still good value. We went for the nachos followed by the Dim Sum. There’s a buy 2 cocktails and get the 3rd free Happy Hour as well before 6pm. Good street life to watch as well. Recommended for anyone passing through Lurang Prabang.

Had a lazy lunch here on our last day and wished we’d found this place earlier!
It’s a fusion of French and Asian that simply works well. Also have craft beers - the Patitoh IPA is superb!
Enjoyed great Tempura Veg, Hummus and French Bread (great lightly pickled carrots!), Ratatouille Bruschetta and Fish Fillet in Coconut Sauce.
Excellent coffee and a great spot to people watch shaded from the afternoon sun!

Ordered a few small plates. Decent sized servings of satay chicken, pork meatballs, and shrimp dumplings. The problem was with the flavors. The meatballs were tasty but the chopped vegetables underneath had no seasoning. The accompanying dip was unrecognizable to me but did complement the meatballs fairly well. The satay came with a very samll portion of "peanut sauce" that was thick, grainy, and flavorless. The dumpling in red wonton wrappers looked nice but had a bland filling. Would not return.

Not possible to give 3.5, rating I wanted to give.
Almost every time we come to Luang Prabang, we come to eat at this restaurant which we like.
But this time we were only half satisfied.
The service is impeccable, the cocktails good.
Among the dishes tasted, the salmon was excellent. On the other hand, the beef fillet was average and the burger was not great, despite a price almost twice as high as in Vientiane!!

Everything about our meal was spot on. The ambience was chilled, the cocktails were excellent, the starters - try those tempura vegetables!! - were gorgeous, and the chicken burgers were delicious. Include the discreet, efficient service AND the reasonable prices, and you have one great meal. We loved it. Go!

We had a lovely meal here outside in the evening (no bugs!). We really enjoyed the steak, spring rolls, and the cocktails. Service was very attentive despite it being a busy evening. George, the neighbor's dog also paid us a visit, much to our amusement. We would definitely return!

We came here for a drink after dinner. We ordered Cabernet Sauvignon and Prosecco. Cabernet Sauvignon was quite good while the Prosecco was really bad, not served in appropriate temperature and already gone flat. Really disappointed.

Recommended by the backpacker. Welcomed by the owner (the staff were a little overwhelmed) who placed us in the very pleasant cool courtyard at the back. We were able to have cocktails without fear because the ice cubes were made with mineral water. Limited choice but everything was good. Service a little slow but it's common in Laos.

Stumbled upon this place and quite and quite happy we did. Smiles all from the dished we ordered. Burgers are great, the fish and chips were a big hint and the Tangor salad -wow-I’d never had a salad before with home made french fries but I’ll never think it weird ever again !

Tangor is a nice little place where you can eat or have a drink. We ate here twice for lunch and both times we were not disappointed. Centrally located in the main street of Luang Prabang. Good coffee. A place to recommend.

Shared chicken satay, fish cakes, charcoal gyoza and the spring rolls and they were all good. Tasted better than some of them looked!
Service at lunch was a little, unobservant.
