Chehelsotun restaurant is located at Abbasi Hotel, which is believed to be the oldest hotel in Iran. As you enter the restaurant you are thrown back in time. The mirror-work on the wall with the Persian miniatures take you back to about 300 years ago....More

An excellent location for slightly more formal dinner for a smaller or a larger group. Good choice of dishes and good quality. Expensive for Iran not for westerners.

The restaurant located in Abbasi hotel is a beautiful place, full of history. The room is big, the tables are spaced. On the wall, there are period paintings and a magnificent crystal chandelier hangs from the ceiling. The food is very good. It is traditional...More

I would recommend to visit this beautiful restaurant for the great service and good food. Even though it is a bit pricey for Iranian standard but still worth the experience.

My trip to Isfahan concurred with Ashura (this was my considered decision, for the experience). Many sights were closed during the day, and I failed to get inside the famous Chehel Sotun Palace. Certainly not expecting a full-scale substitute, I've still chosen to have my...More

Chehel-Sotun Restaurant sits on the ground floor of the right wing of the famous five-star Abbasi hotel. It’s often recommended, including on TA, to at least have a tea or a dinner in Abbasi, former caravanserai of the shah’s mother, even if you don’t stay here. And this advice is well worth listening to!
Chehel-Sotun Restaurant gives a unique opportunity to feel you’re having dinner in the museum, or attending the royal reception. The restaurant interior, following the decoration of Chehel Sotun Palace, which is one of the must-sees in Esfahan, is a pure piece of art. Its wall paintings and ceiling decor remind of the best works from Qajar and Safavid epochs, and keep you busy studying them, while you meal is being prepared and served in a slow thorough solemn manner.
English menu available and is very extensive. Compared to Khan Gostar, food is not that outstanding here, still very decent. And this was my only dining experience in Iran with truly five-star service!
Web-page for the restaurant can be found on Abbasi hotel web-site http://www.abbasihotel.ir/Content/Content.aspx?Cat_id=60&Landir=ltr&Lan=En
