Lunch for 9 of us on recommendation of guide as the best place to have the local speciality "lava" soup - which is tomato soup with some vegetables and I think pasta in but with a big lump of lava rock in the middle which is so hot that when the soup arrives at the table it is literally bubbling... We arrived late for lunch. About 2pm and there were still a lot of people in the restaurant. A few locals and a few tourists. We ate from a set menu and the first course was a tomato based rice soup, a local specialty. It was the best soup I have had in Bolivia. If you are interested in a... More

We ordered the Potosi recipe: the soup with the hot stone and we really appreciate it! Nice location and friendly staff. Recommended!

Poor value. The prices are high, the food is not as good as one would expect considering the rate and prices. Noticing the tendency of overlooking the meat in Bolivia, I asked my chateaubriand steak done medium, in hope to get it 3/4 as I prefer. Nopes, still got well-done one. Quite cold too and actually tasted more like stewed... More

The decor is ok but the night I ate here I was the only client. Service was prompt but there wasnt any smile. The Chateaubriand was quite tasty and cooked how I like. The wine was fine and not expensive. Not much choice in dessert and it was so so. Certainly better than other restaurants in Potosi.

Unsuspecting restaurant... Nice location nice service nice ambiance. However, we came here primarily to eat. As soon as the plates arrived we noticed cooked but yet super cold vegetables. Cold fried potatoes and soft as if they were kept outside all day long; to top it off, some of them were still uncooked and all of them were mushy. The... More

Cold chips and cold verduras ruin every meal. The soup was tasty but didn't make for a good meal. The bad choice of music made us leave pretty quickly!

Food is very good in this place. I tasted the menu they recommended and it was great. Service was very special and the owner taught us about some of the region's traditions about food.

I visited this restaurant along with our tour group so there were 14 of us in all. One of the group was celebrating her birthday so the trip leader had picked this restaurant as worthy of the special occasion and it didn’t disappoint. The restaurant was quite atmospheric in a low-key way. Their specialities were steak and pasta and they... More
