Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We ended up staying an extra night in Sucre just to do this show and so glad we did! It far exceeded our expectations. Very well done, amazing intricate costumes and a wonderful way to experience Bolivian culture while supporting the arts. Staff and dancers...seemed really happy to be there. Such high energy and skill in each dance .The food was delicious (a little small portion) but the show is the whole point. Don’t skip this on your visitMore

It’s a super fun experience and definitely worth the money. For about £22 per person you get a two hour fantastic show and a great meal.

We took the option of 170 Bolivianos for show and dinner. We got the worst table although we booked in advance. Light was coming from the kitchen and the reception on one side. The waiter didn’t care about people who were sitting at the bottom...of the room and was just standing between us and the stage while slowly serving other tables. Food: As we arrived we found out that the menu includes just one dish plus a dessert. It doesn’t give you the opportunity of tasting the traditional food as they claim. You can choose among three (quite poor) dishes (pasta with pesto is their vegetarian option) and get a frozen dessert. Out of this standard menu they only offered pique de macho for 70 bolivianos. We chose the beef which was ok but not great nor worthy the money we spent. Drinks must be payed extra and are pricey. About the show: it was quite nice but too expensive. It is definitely a tourist trap but they don’t even offer the show in English (when we went, at least 95% of the people weren’t spanish speakers). Also, the sound system wasn’t good and made it hard even for somebody who understands spanish to hear properly. Don’t waste your money there.More

If you are in Sucre 2nd capital of Bolivia and you a looking for a night out with entertainment and food then you will not be disappointed with Espacio Cultural Origenes. There is a waitress service and you will be asked shortly after arrival if...you would like something to eat or drink. It is not compulsory but prices are reasonable. The show is a fantastic colorful display of Bolivian culture and folk music and dance.More

Best food so far in Sucre. Served well and very affordable. Plus you get a folkloric show while you eat. Full meal service included with the show, you only pay extra for drinks. Beer and wine served. An excellent value for the investment

Energy abounds with glorious colors and costumes. How does every tourist that steps foot in Sucre not go here? Ten different dances, each in a different costume from a region of Bolivia—almost an overwhelming visual delight. Some romantic, some fight songs, carnival coming to life,...all culminating in a Diablada. The variety will wow you: Pullay, Cueca, Taquirari, TInku, Tobas, Caporales, Danzas Chaqueñas, Morenada, Waca-Waca & a Diablada. The food was quite good. One of 4 entrée options delivered while you watch the show. Lots of drinks options (we opted for Mojitos for the some and a bottomless jar of homemade lemonade for others). Do yourself a favor. Spend an evening here.More

Espacio Cultural Origenes put on a flawless dance production - the music was lively, the costumes beautiful, and the dancers excellent, smiling, and energetic! Service for drinks was great (we did not eat here) and all staff was friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed this show and...it was a highlight of my time in Bolivia.More

We went to see the folkloric dancing show and it was really good. They presented many of the Bolivian typical dances, with regional variations. The dancers and choreography were excellent, very atmospheric. Cameras and mobile phones all allowed, no problem. Memorable place, easy to book...via Hotel or direct and an easy walk from the main Plaza. We didn't eat there as the show started late in the evening, so we ate beforehand. That was a good decision as the food was served throughout the show and some tables only just got theirs as the show was finishing, around 23:00. The food looked OK but way too late. The only beer is Potosina which was OK but no more. Bolivia has great beers but this wasn't one.More

Sucre has so much to share as a tourist site but Origenes was a mixture of extraordinary native music and dance...such detail and atomsphere given to each dance number. Dinner was very good...although it is hard to eat and watch...better to ask for un "piqueo",...to nibble on. This was an unexpected surprise of talent and good vibrations!More

Staying in Sucre for a couple of days during our Bolivian tour we had dinner at Origenes Cultural Space and show. Really we're not expecting so high quality of coreography, music, sound , light , rhythm, and above all excellent dancers . Finest example of...Bolivian Folclore and ethnic dances. Concerning the dinner itself (food , etc) not so good, very basic,. I strongly recommend ORIGENES, finest and top example of Bolivian Folklore.More

The twelve dances were entertaining, high energy, well done and revealed stories from the different regions. The costumes were fabulous. Generally I dislike “cultural” shows but I loved every minute of this one. Also, my vegetarian lasagna was delicious and the Bolivian wine was pleasant....Well worth the time and money.More

I was a bit skeptical to go to what I thought would be a kitschy dance show, but I was pleasantly surprised by this one. The dancers were so talented and the costumes were amazing! It was very authentically done. Dance is really important to...Bolivian culture, and if you want to see a sampling of traditional dances, this is an excellent place to do it. The food was good as well, but if you want to eat elsewhere it is possible to just pay for the show.More

Was on a tour of Bolivia with Intrepid and while staying in Sucre this was offered as an optional experience. Myself and my room mate decided we would attend and very pleased we did as was a vibrant show which gave us an interesting insite...into traditional dance and costumes of Bolivia. The dances were very enthusiastic and energetic, obviously loved what they do! Would definitely recommend, price was very reasonable and dinner was too!More

We were recommended the show by our hotel. The show was absolutely amazing and if you are in Sucre you must go. It isn't too expensive and it includes a main meal (beef) and a desert (crepe). It was very well organised and the outfits...were outstanding. My husband loved the beer as it was cheap and it was massive.More
