We have been dining at the Brauhaus for years, and each time we come to our lake place in the summer months, we plan to have a special dinner there. As in previous years, the food and service tonight were outstanding. I tried the salmon tonight, which was delicious, and the rest of the folks in my party had various... More

My family has been eating at the Brauhouse for 16 years. The consistency of the food through the years has not changed. I do miss the ompa bands and dancing back in the early days. Having traveled to Germany a couple of times I have authentic comparison. You would need to be in Germany to find better Roulanden or Schweinhacke.... More

But during the summer, fine German cooking. Try the duck, you won't be disappointed. Actually, you won't be disappointed with anything you order in this fine restaurant. I highly recommend it.

We've been going to the Brauhaus for years. It is consistently good. As all others say, “This place is authentic.” I don’t recommend anything over another on the menu. It’s all great. Here’s a suggestion for a fun day during the summer months. Hit the Woodtick Theater in Akley for a matinee, then the Brauhaus for dinner. What a great... More

Love the authentic German food here, especially the Schweinhaxen! Huge portions, so it can be shared. This restaurant is always busy, yet we have only had to briefly wait for a table once. Friendly wait staff.

Very good food in a cute atmosphere in the north woods of MN. I gave it a four instead of a five because I thought it was expensive. Another reason was due to the fact that the entrance was cluttered with 3 - 6 foot high stacks of green buckets they had for sale for $2.00 a piece. Very tacky.... More

My husband is 100% German and spent time living in Germany, so when he says that the Brauhau cuisine is authentic, he knows what he is talking about. We live about a 45 minute drive from the Brauhaus, but always manage to find a reason to drive that far - probably because it is just that good. The menu offers... More

We go to eat here every year during our yearly family vacation since 2006. Great atmosphere, great food and a wonderful selection of German Beer. Also prices are reasonable for the portions served. And the Germany Desserts, well you can not make a bad selection.

My favorite place in the Northwoods, love the food, love the service, both are always excellent, we go here for most family birthdays, etc. Only shortcoming is no soup on the menu. This place is superb.
