You should visit this nice restaurant if you can. Its on the first floor of the building. And you have to try the Amok. Even Gordon Ramsay had to learn it here :)

The Sugar Palm was recommended to us by a colleague and it did not fail to impress us also. The food was excellent, the flavours were so well balanced.

Of all the restaurants I dined in in Siem Reap, this has got to be the best. The restaurant was fully booked when my group walked in but since we were early (about 6.30pm), they said we can dine there as long as we finish by 8pm which was ok with us. We ordered 3 dishes with our steamed rice:... More

No doubt as many before me, I was guided here by the link to Gordon Ramsey learning to make Amok here. I had thoughts of queues or "only with a reservation in peak season" and possibly even an inevitable let down because of the hype...but none of these came to pass. I went early to increase the no reservation possibilities... More

Expansive menu of original Khmer dishes - there were several we tried that were wonderful. Great ambience set in a wood house overlooking Taphul road The pomelo shrimp salad was fantastic and refreshing The chef/owner is a well known chef in Cambodia

My husband and I came here having seen the recommendations on TripAdvisor. The restaurant is very beautiful but on a hot day, it felt quite humid inside. We were lucky to get a table as we hadn't prebooked and they nearly had a full house. For starters, I had a shrimp cake, (similar to fishcakes) which tasted lovely. However later... More

Sugar Palm was recommended by some travellers we met in Sihanoukville - it was recommended that we book as it can be difficult to get into. So, we had high expectations. The Restaurant venue is very nice - a tall, wooden type house structure with a large balcony/deck. Dinner was very nice but did not knock our socks off -... More

Read about this restaurant in Lonely Planet and the review did not let us down. The restaurant has a great atmosphere in a large wooden building with a high roof and the food was amazing. The Amok fish was to die for and we also had pork mince with the local eggplant which had a smokey flavour. The staff were... More

Our son ate here 3 years ago for the fish amok. It was worth it so we went. He thinks it was mentioned for authentic fish amok: and for all we know it is. Apparently fish amok comes steamed and not: this was steamed and the only such version we had in five days in Cambodia and a few amoks.... More

Some of the best Cambodian food I had on this trip - I would really recommend the fish amok and the satay. The restaurant is patronised by lots of foreigners, but the food was really authentic and nice. Service was a bit slow due to the high volume of customers, but it was a lot better than most other places... More
