They make the best cakes in Harbin. Their apple is is excellent. Its a tiny cafe, and although their menu is quite limited when it comes to main course, this was one of the few places i went almost every other week during my years in China.

Went here many times over the past 11 years I have been in China. It used to be a very empty place with only foreigners in the beginning. Quiet and comfortable. We all came. They moved to a new location and eventually it became so busy and so crowded with Chinese students that many of us didn't want to go... More

This place is small but clean and organized. The kind of food that they do is cakes, and baked desserts and sandwiches. Good taste, seems fresh. Ambiance is great, though as it is small it can be pretty full sometimes. I recommend carrot cake and chicken-pineapple wrap.

This little coffee house was a life saver while I was a student in Harbin. While I loved the local cuisine in Harbin, once in awhile it was oh-so-nice to have a coffee and sandwich here. It is a tiny cafe but charming and I always found the staff to be very polite.

It took me 9 months in Harbin to finally go to Hamamas and I seriously regret not going there before. I had heard from other expats that it was an excellent cafe for some western-style cafe food and all the recommendations were definitely true. The staff as such doesn't speak English but they are all extremely nice and helpful. Luckily... More

If you want a taste of the west, then this is one place that's well known in Harbin ! Mostly students, but you get everyone from Harbin passing in by for a nice piece of Cake, or a nice sandwich. Also try the Hawian Burger ! The food is tasty and at a good price !! But be warned !!!... More

People need to stop confusing not speaking english with not being polite. The staff are friendly and the prices are really good for the quality of the food, especially when you compare them to some of the other "western" menu restaraunts in town. I think the people who are saying the staff are not polite have walked in expecting to... More

Hamamas is a very warm welcoming place though it's small. The idea is to have an oasis for Foreigners a way out. The owner and workers are trying their best to keep the standard, and I personally believe that's why they keep their business. Hopefully they will find a big place. It's a great place to sooth your homesick, and... More

We love heading to Hamamas for their famous carrot cake! The atmosphere is very relaxed there and the girls who serve are also very sweet! Our kids love their food! They also have amazing coffee (which you can now get to-go). We usually choose Hamamas while walking around town. We know the owners and they are wonderful people! It is... More

I have been living in Harbin for two and a half years already, but that was supposed to be my very first time at Hamamas. I seldom stay in Harbin on the weekends, once fun is very limited! Anyways, I went there last Saturday (Mar, 3rd). Overcrowded, but that doesn't mean necessarily too many people as the place is very... More
