The food is simple and below average but okay if you are tired of Chinese and Asian cuisine. Price is too high like everywhere in China for Western Food.

Small devil is a cool place (Always warm in winters) with decent drinks & food at very reasonable prices. The Italian owner (Edwardo) and his wife who is chinese and manages the floor make a good team. Pool table, decent food, Decent selection of drinks - Music could be better but the over all experience is good. Most of the... More

The Small Devil looks like a hole in the wall restaurant located in an alley way of the Guomao Hotel, but it's a rare find in a third tier Chinese City. The pizza is good! Thin crust and flavorful. The pasta is good as well. The atmosphere is eclectic. A great place to hear a smorgasbord of languages spoken. Good... More

Best pizza probably in China, even an Italian won't be ashamed! and staff speak English, service is like in Europe, fast and helpful. Good wine too. Free pool table.

I arrived at the "Small Devil" at 18:00 and it was still quiet. Ordered the mixed salad (lettuce, carrot, cucumber and small tomatoes), this salad was simple was and unimaginative and tasted OK after adding some olive oil and vinegar (price RMB 30). Second was the pizza, I ordered Cappriciosa (RMB 68). Size was medium (6 slices) and certainly large... More

Last time I was there I ordered the tuna - and it tasted very very nice. Unfortunately the presentation was really poor, which was kind of sad since the fish was so good. Also, the side vedgetables didn't seem so fresh and were cooked unevenly. Luckily for this restaurant the tuna was so good, otherwise I would have given a... More

I liked the food very much. The taste was very good. It was real Italian taste. Visited third time and will keep visiting. You can not find better Italian food in Zhangjiagang. Little bit overpriced. Good bar, good ambience but lot of noise by people. Always crowded.

Zhangjiagang (not Suzhou, about an hour away), is a typical small Chinese city, relatively wealthy and commercialized with lots of big factories but very little Western cultural influence. After you've lived in China for a few years, sometimes you miss the comforts of home like an unpretentious pizza and beer and the Small Devil those things can deliver. You'll see... More

The restaurant is located on the 1st floor of famous Guomao hotel complex in the center of ZhangJiaGang on Renmin Lu. It is open daily for lunch and reopen during dinner time starting as early as 5 and closing as late as 1 or more. Biggest selection of pizzas and pastas and both are very delicious, pirtions are generous. Burgers... More
