I really like Cartagena because my friends live there and it is a multicultural city. You can see the aro-caribean influence in all its colorful splendor especially here at La Plaza.

This is the cliche restaurant plaza- with elevated prices, mediocre food, and vendors who consistently come by your table as you are trapped seated. Eating outdoors is pleasant, but there are a lot more restaurants worth going to!

The Luxury Restaurant in the Plaza Santo Domingo has wonderful pasta (possibly the best tomato sauce I have tasted) and pizza at reasonable prices. The service is great and for those of us that don't speak Spanish, there are servers that will walk you through the menu. You can sit, eat drink and watch the street performers. A great time!

This is a beautiful place to go but I'll recommend to go for a walk and avoid to buy drinks over there it is just expensive and to be honest the service is not the best, waiters are rude and you have to ask several times to be served. if you want to enjoy the old city buy a beer... More

Finally found somewhere where we could sit outside in the Plaza in Santo Domingo Square and enjoy a special meal. The seafood paella was delicious, and well worth the 45 min wait for the preparation. The ambiance of the area is brilliant, together with the usual musicians, cigar sellers, and other hawkers which are very polite and generally non invasive.... More

Cool place, lots of people, shops, restaurants and there is a well known bronze there. I recommend going to Old Town many times.

Kick back under the umbrellas enjoy the sights in this busy plaza. Try a Colombian style michelada and some great food.

This is a friendly venue which serves great seafood and pasta amongst other things. The vendors do not make a nuisance of themselves thanks to the presence of a burly security guy who casually mingles with the crowd. The surrounding buildings are magnificent in their faded splendor and the contrast with the Afro-Caribbean vibe made us feel very much at... More

This is the Plaza with the Botero sculpture. The street vendors are a little pushy around the plaza but if you send them on their way immediately it's no big deal. The pizza place on the plaza was great! For under 50,000 pesos you get an enormous pie! It's a good way to save money compared to every other restaurant... More
