Our first meal in Cartagena and a great success with authentic and, more important, delicious food graciously served by a young enthusiastic wait staff. The young dancing couple is delightful to watch and their costumes are as much fun as the performance. Everything we had was delicious and with a mojito, a perfect start to a great Latin vacation! One... More

This is an excellent restaurant. The seating is well designed, the service is very, very good and the honest-to-dios real Columbian food is worth going back for over and over. Great sauces, generous portions, and, by the way, they don't serve bread; it's not traditional. A smallish wine list is complemented by a full bar. Our party of four has... More

If you want really authentic Cartagenan food come here! They had a show every 30 minutes of typical dances, it was so fun. They helped us choose our plates and we both tried very different things from rabbit stew to lobster bisque. The food was amazing. The service is a little slow but it's okay because we had time and... More

Fist of all, I do not understand any of these bad reviews! This place is amazing!!! This restaurant is great for anyone wanting an authentic and traditional Cartagena experience! Upon entrance you are greeted by traditionally dressed women at the door, the hostesses and waitresses/waiters are all extremely friendly and eager to help! The food here was absolutely amazing. Each... More

The Sancocho I had here was the worst I have had in Colombia. It was really sad. And I have traveled everywhere in the country. Its really a place that serves a version of 'Colombian' food for tourists. And tourists can't tell the difference. You won't find locals eating here - wealthy or not. You are paying for the ambiance... More

Nice ambiance, and very nice service. When we asked about some candied fruit in the dessert that we had never heard of, they actually went and brought back a small sample for us to see. There was also a little dance show (but that may be because of ash Wednesday, in that some of the costumes probably related to the... More

We loved the typical atmosphere of Cande. The food is excellent too, ask for the seared tuna, it's unforgettable! On Saturdays there is a live show too, which makes the evening even more special!

One afternoon, in February 2017, we were in the walled city looking for a place to have lunch. Turning a corner, we stumbled on the entrance to Cande'. Luck would have it that Cande' was high on our list of recommended Cartagena restaurants. A table was available and we started on a wonderful lunch. The ambiance of the restaurant was... More

We were recommended by a local to try Cande as we could not decide on where to eat! The food here was ecstatic. The freshness of the fish was delightful. We had to compliment the chef on his cooking, and he even came out to take a picture with us and thank us personally. The restaurant reflects the Cartagenian culture,... More
