Stumbled across this place looking for lunch one day off of the hotel property we stayed at the Las Americas. When I tell you I wish I had found this place the first day! Everything was so good we went twice! We got lobster and fish and about 4 cocktails for about 30 usd! We barely spoke any Spanish and... More

We wanted ceviche(not available) and ordered the small fish soup (thankfully, as it needed hot sauce to mask the fishy flavor and there was just fish crumbs) and mixed fish cocktail. All in all, the food was a disappointment. Table next to us said the fried Mojarra was good.

This place is quite nice! We ate upstairs and the food was really good. They were so kind to us - we only speak a little Spanish and they worked with us. Good foo if you are going to a conference! Enjoyed the upstairs and the view of the sea. Thank you so much! :)

We ordered fried mojarra, and it was simply delicious. The waitress were very kind and the price of the food was according with the portions.

Finding this restaurant was a nice surprise. The owner was very welcoming and nice, he spoke English and was able to help us out with our orders. The food was great and the drinks were strong! Would definitely recommend!

Coming in to la Boquilla I was very pleasntly surprised by what this place had to offer. It was a very cool place to chill with the locals and get really fresh seafood. We had whole fried fish with rice salad and patacon. I would strongly recomend it. Also its a realy cool place to go to avoid most of... More

I'm from Ft Lauderdale...I love saltwater fishing & I love seafood. I have been to Cartagena many times and thankfully found this place on my 1st trip several years ago. 1. Most importantly, the food is fantastic. I've had Snapper, Grouper, Redfish, Trigger & Kingfish. All completely done perfectly & gorgeous. 2. Every morning, the local fisherman bring buckets of... We went here with a group of 12 our first night in Cartagena. The service, although slow due to our group size, was great. The waitress was very kind and accomodation. The paella is amazing and the typical fish is great also.

We (my wife and I) went to lunch on the beach (La Boquilla) to a restaurant next to the Las Americas Hotel and were very disappointed by the service and quality of the food Ordered to start off cold beers which arrived luke warm since the server informed us that the electricity had been off all day. Description
I have been to this restaurant several times while in Cartagena. Understand...i'm from Ft Lauderdale and in the tour biz, so i know what is good, what is REALLY good...and what a tourist trap is. This place is fantastic. In the morning, the fisherman drop off the fish, shrimp, octopus...all completely still gasping for air. Everything is made from scratch. Casuela de Mariscos has immeasurable levels of flavor. The coconut rice and the shrimp rice are always perfect. did i mention it's right on the beach? if you dont want to eat in the open air restaurant....go by the water for a covered table & the waiter/waitress will run your food to you. i have been to many MANY places...but this is unique & i miss it almost every time i have sea food in the states. plz feel free to email me anytime & thank you for your time.
