Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

On the last day of trip to Cartagena as a whole, we wanted to end our morning with some good food and drinks to cap off such a great trip. I ordered the avocado toast and Tiger Lemonade (Limonada de Coco with Mezal). We all...shared our dishes and no one was disappointed in any of the many items. We walked in and was seated ver quickly. Service was good and fast!More

Never was so insulted like in this place. I ordered 1 thing and they bring another, then they said that the problem was mine. Ended up paying the check forced by staff. Never go there!

Cute cafe in Bocagrande. It was near our Airbnb in Morros and a friend had recommended coming here for brunch. I had the cocoa latte as well as the mazorca desgranada, while my friend had the natural lemonade and the steak bowl. There is free...wifi available. There are restrooms available in the back. Credit cards can be used. Indoor and outdoor seating available. They do take reservations. Noticed some people sitting there with suitcases as well as doing work, so I don’t think that there is any set limit on how long you can stay.More

We enjoyed our quick breakfast at this beautiful place, and then returned again, and again for other tasty treats while visiting Cartagena. The service was quick, the place was clean, and the food delicious

Professional and highly skilled! This baker immediately set a very good first impression. My husband and I were taken here by our wedding planner, Sandra Madarraiga. She has great suppliers so we knew we were in good hands. But this exceeded our expectations and is...everything I've ever dreamed of in a wedding cake tasting. We entered, were seated in the cute corner sofas, are asked if we would like coffee, then plate after plate of cake slices, cake minis and desserts are laid out in front of us. We had selected 'vanilla' for our cake. Unbelievable - there was chocolate, red velvet, carrot cake and a new cake I'd never heard of before - orange and poppy seed. This last one is a fiesta on your tongue. It is moist beyond dreams and melts on your tongue, tantalising between the orange sponge flavours, the poppy seed crunch and the marvelous chocolate spread. We chose red velvet and chocolate minis as well as carrot cake and the largest tier being the wonderful orange and poppy seed cake. This cake still appears in my dreams. We provided a photo of a chinese themed wedding cake which we wanted to replicate for our wedding. This was done to perfection and we were so pleased with not just the decoration but the delicious cake that was hidden beneath. We couldn't have asked for better - thank you so much! My only request - that orange and poppy seed recipe please?More

Even though you are in Getsemani Colombia, you are really stepping into a beautiful Parisian style cafe. Best mochaccino I have ever had.

The food and drinks at Café de las Novias are amazing! I had a salad with chicken breast, almonds, quinoa, cranberries, and a delicious house-made dressing. My girlfriend had an amazing chicken wrap with pesto mayonnaise and it was delicious. The portion sizes are excellent...and the prices were well suited for the establishment. The drinks though were even better than the food. The latte I had was perfect. However, the limonada de coco I had was by far one of the tastiest and best drinks I have ever had in my life. My girlfriend also ordered the limonada de hierbabuena (mint) which was very fresh and also delicious. The restaurant has like 3 names, but don't let that discourage you. Possible names are Ely Gourmet Cafe, Ely Reposteleria, and Café de las Novias. It is located on Calle Larga in Getsemani and well worth it! Additionally: it is also known for its cakes, pastels, and desserts. We didn't try one, but they looked delicious.More

The bakery it's ok, but nothing impressive. What I bought wasn't fresh but the taste was ok. When I was there, the service was TERRIBLE.

We had found Café de las Novias on a list naming the top 5 coffee places and decided to give it a try. We were far from disappointed - the sandwiches were a delight, the "Green Sandwich" (arugula, avocado and different cheeses) being our favorite....The coffee was delicious as were the various sweet treats we tried! Cannot wait to return!More

We stopped here after reading reviews on the internet, and it was absolutely delicious. Had a cappaccino, lemon cake and brownie, all delicious. There was one lady who spoke english which was helpful, and it was very cheap by western standards. Lovely decor, flowers, china....Definitely worth a stop.More

This place breathes elegance and is an absolute delight to enjoy coffee and cake break for morning or afternoon tea. The decor is simply breathtaking, wedding themed, with gold and cream colouring, vases of fresh baby breath flowers and antique photos of weddings fill a...feature wall. The Colombian coffee here is delightful - extremely reasonably priced, rich and strong served in antique white tea cups with gold rose shaped spoons. There is a huge cabinet of the most dreamy desserts ever imagined from cupcakes, dark rich chocolate brownie (a must try), carrot cake, lemon meringue tart, mixed berry cheesecakes and my favourite a citrus poppyseed light fluffy cake. Sandwiches, salads and savoury delights also available. We ate here three times during our one week stay and were extremely impressed. To give you an idea on price we had two macchiatos and a lemon, lime, orange and poppyseed cake for $15000 COP. Another day we had two take away coffees and a rich chocolate brownie for $10000 COP. Take away is available. You can also purchase full cakes for birthdays etc. Open every day from 8am except on Sundays when they are open from 11am. The menu is in Spanish. Staff only speak Spanish but are extremely friendly and welcoming.More
