Ate here twice, it is expensive but the food is extremely good particularly the pulpo, which was amongst the best I’ve ever had. Expect to pay $ 120 + for 2 courses fof 2 people with drinks

We visited Muyu on the advice of our Air Bnb host. First, I’ll tell you what he didn’t tell us - it’s higher end. However they didn’t bat an eye at our shabby attire and served us graciously. Our server was Adrian. He was attentive,...professional, and personable. He explained the dishes patiently and clearly takes pride in his place of employment. The food was different, not typical restaurant fare, a blend of Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia (I think Bolivia). My husband had a dish with yellowfin tuna, octopus and rice, I (not being much of a fish eater) combined two appetizers - a gorgeous salad with ingredients straight from their garden and a dish with roasted carrots, breadfruit hummus, and pumpkin seeds. We had the bread as an appetizer - fresh sourdough and cacao bread with a floral butter. The drinks were delicious as well! Can’t recommend this place enough.More

During our recent vacation to the enchanting Galapagos Islands, we had the pleasure of dining at Muyu on San Cristobal, a culinary revelation that redefines gastronomic excellence. The menu was a symphony of flavors, each dish artfully showcasing the local ingredients of the Galapagos. We...savored an array of exquisite dishes, starting with the ‘Tartar del Huerto’, a fresh garden delight, and ‘Panes Artesanales’, which set the stage for a memorable meal. The ‘Tartar de Pesca del Día’ was a celebration of the day’s catch, while the ‘Tacos de Pescado’ offered a burst of flavors in every bite. The ‘Pulpo al Grill’ was a masterpiece of texture and taste, and the ‘Arroz Meloso’ perfectly complemented the other dishes. For dessert, the ‘Maracuya 0 Km’ was a revelation, exalting every piece of passion fruit without wasting anything – a true testament to the restaurant’s commitment to sustainability and flavor. The ‘Mussa y Toffee’ was equally impressive, doing justice to the humble banana with its rich, complex flavors. Our experience was further enriched by our interaction with the owner, Luciana Bianchi, whose passion for sustainable and innovative cuisine was evident. The attentive service, especially by Harold, made our dining experience even more special, with detailed explanations of each dish. Muyu is more than just a restaurant; it’s a journey through the culinary treasures of San Cristobal, leaving us with lasting memories and a desire to return.More

My wife and I ate at Muyu on our last night in the Galapagos. It was a wonderful experience. The food was Michelin star quality, characterised by incredible creativity and an ethos to source all ingredients from within a kilometre of the restaurant. Each dish...is like a work of art, crafted to highlight the flavours and textures. Adrian and his service partners were helpful, explaining each dish, and presenting each flawlessly. Adrian and his partners’ enthusiasm and knowledge elevated this superb meal to the level of a unique experience. The scorpion fish and seared tuna were exquisite. The “musa and toffee” dessert has to be experienced. Overall, this was one of the best meals I have ever enjoyed.More

Fantastic food, service, and ambiance! One of the highlights of our Galapagos trip. The cocktails were absolutely amazing - and I've travelled extensively. My husband and I managed to have a romantic dinner even with our son there. Would highly recommend.

Keep in mind this isnt a life changing meal, but their quality of ingredients and presentation shine brighter than any other restaurant I tried while on the island. While I enjoyed it, some people may not like hearing the sea lions arfing in the distance....The restaurant does a fairly decent job of piping new age techno music over speakers to drown out the sea lions, but the sea lions really do get pretty loud. Our servers were excellent at attending to our needs, explaining the menu in english, and brought out the food at a reasonable pace. I forget our exact cocktails, but I do remember them being quite delicious and well balanced. The brown bread with floral butter and lemongrass oil is simple but satisfying. It hits every mark in what I wanted, especially with how fluffy the inside, but crispy the outside of the bread was. The catch of the day tartare is an excellent choice, especially if its something tasty like the scorpion fish. Full of flavor, balanced with plenty of herbs and that annatto emulsion on the bottom. The cassava crackers are a great pairing as well. The fried scorpion "fish wings" was not exactly what I was expecting, but it was delicious none the less! The breading on the outside was golden brown crisp, the inside was cooked just right, and the fish had plenty of flavor. The fish in pumpkin curry sauce was also pretty good! Granted the coconut cream was doing most of the work, but it felt like I was eating a more regional cuisine? Either way, it had a hearty homemade feel. Easily would recommend this place to anyone wanting a more elegant meal while in San Cristobal.More

We were so enchanted with this restaurant that we ate breakfast, dinner, and hit the bar all three days we were in San Cristobal. Lunch was not necessary because breakfast consisted of homemade breads, homemade jams, eggs any style, granola, fruit, and milk. It freed...us up to explore the island’s excursions for the day. My favorite dinner dishes were the smoked eggplant and pureed white carrot sauce with vegetables (I’m not even vegetarian!) and the 100% Brujo, where they use the whole fish to promote sustainability. The word succulent comes to mind. The smoking drink they were experimenting with was so much fun, and even the mocktails were delicious. It helps that the restaurant is attached to a beautiful hotel and sea lion beach, but it could stand on its own. The service at the restaurant and hotel (services seamlessly go back and forth) was terrific as well.More

We’ve been to some posh ponsi restaurants before and normally love but I came away hungry and very annoyed! In fact had to visit a burger bar on way back to hotel. I think what was most annoying I told them the dish was not...acceptable and they did not care! 100% mis sold on my dish! I hate complaining and I wouldn’t normally mention but let’s start from the beginning the beer my husband ordered came in an ice bucket with a clearly cold glass my wine came not cold ( or the glass ) I then had to add ice from hubby’s ice bucket to my wine normally i’d accept this ( some things are never perfect ) but let’s mention it as it went down hill from there! My ‘pasta ‘ arrived but actually it was beetroot spirals - fine i’m happy with that but portion size was that of an entrée - listen i don’t eat much but an entree size for a main course and let’s be honest you’re not going to get full on beetroot! I made my feelings known but the waiters just shrugged their shoulders ! My husband Tina for just 10$ was ok ( just ok)More
