The Hot Rock is situated in the Savoy so its gonna be pricey but we decided to have a nice meal to break up the all inclusive. We all had steak which was either Fillet or Rib Eye, you cook your own food on a hot stone but for £35 for the steak i would have preferred a chef to... More

Nice steak but over priced seeing as you cook it yourself, also the jacket potato was half a potato, £50 per head, £25 for the food & drink, £25 because it is in the savoy.

Great service, great food, great experience. Was not sure about cooking our own meat at first, but once it was in front of us and the waiter showed us what to do is was great. Just something a little different. Veal was beautiful as too was the tenderloin. Booking again before we leave.

Visited before and good always been good with average service. Service about the same but quality not the same. We had the Wedge with the Edge to start with which we've enjoyed immensely in the past but the lettuce was bitter and the sauce/dressing thin. The bread was doughy and tasteless. My partner had steak which was fine. My tuna... More

Loved the concept of cooking on the stone. Service, food atmosphere excellent. Steak was very tender and you could cook to your own taste. Very novel

Ate here 2 nights and cannot fault it in anyway. The waiters are so nice and genuinely want you to enjoy the experience. There is a good choice on the menu and liked the idea of cooking on the hot rock. It had a lovely atmosphere and enjoyed the music. Thoroughly reccomended.

Staying as we did as a group of 3 couples at the Savoy Caligula is a must visit. Very impressive setting as at lot of expense has been spent to create the venue. Excellent service from all the staff as you come to expect here.Dined here twice, both nights as good, started with Bresaola stuffed with ricotta cheese and mushrooms ,... More

I have been to a restaurant similar before but this experience was amazing. The atmosphere and restaurant itself is just on another level and beautifully decorated. The only thing I would say makes this a 4 not a 5 in my opinion was it was so dark in there that all our group found it a little hard to see... More

Out of all the different dining venues available both within the hotel and outside in Soho Square, the Caligula Hot Rock was probably the best. Not only was the food great, cooking your chosen steak on your own hot rock, but the fact that we had late 70's and early 80's music in the background made it even better.

Set deep in the main Savoy building this restaurant doubles as a nightclub /disco. The decor is splendidly kitsch decked out with faux roman columns and carved stonework leading up to a domed ceiling. Food centres on a searingly hot lava rock delivered to your table, carefully, and the diner being entrusted to cook his /her own main course meat... More

Soho Square introduces a new and unique style of cuisine to Egypt The Caligula nightclub has been re-launched with a new entertainments concept. The hot rock dining and ballroom dancing! A piece of volcanic rock is heated for over several hours before being brought directly to your table. You then have the pleasure of being able to cook a dinner of your own choosing from a large and varied menu. Ancient cultures have been using this method for thousands of years, it is also very healthy as no oil or fat is used during the process, all the nutrients are sealed within. Hot rock dining is a very relaxed and sociable way to eat. There are no lengthy pauses in conversation when the plates of food are served and everybody "tucks in" as you cook the food at your own pace. This ensures that every last piece is hot and fresh. The whole method of dining becomes more leisurely and slower, where everybody tends to pause for conversation far more frequently. Only the freshet cuts of meat and fish are selected, you can choose from such sumptuous delights as Australian loin of lamb, black Angus beef ribs, Cajun salmon steaks, prawn and calamari skewers, plus much more.
