6 of us visited here on a Saturday night and was very nice from the moment we walked through the door . The staff were on top form with great service and that does stand out in the Gambia! Most of us had various things to eat the Salmon was amazing and they said steaks were great to ! The only thing was the pepper sauce was poured all over the steak and was swimming in sauce we told the waiter it should be in a separate dish and he told the chefs so hopefully something they will do from now . We eat downstairs as its got A/C and after went on to the fabulous roof terrace to chill out with some drinks ,it's a ideal place to chill out and sample some cocktails 🍸

We only found this place after searching Trip Advisor for somewhere new. I’m so glad we did as Cassy’s really is very good. In fact so good we have been twice today. Firstly this morning for breakfast, we had English breakfasts which were good but would be better with mushrooms. The sausage, egg, beans and bread were fine. The best part though was the coffee and the juices. The coffee (long coffee we ordered) was the best we’ve found in The Gambia, after two weeks of buying it at various restaurants and beach bars. The fresh juices were fantastic, loads of choice and very tasty. I had moringa green juice which consisted of moringa, apple, lime, cucumber, ginger and spinach. So good. My wife had the Glow from within - watermelon, lime and apple. After a day in The Gambian sun, she’s glowing from the outside too. As I say, we liked it so much we went back in the evening with our family. More quality and more brilliant juices. The food was amazing. I had fillet steak with Stilton and fried onions. The atmosphere here is very calm and relaxed, it has a European cafe culture feel to it. The menu is varied and interesting and the service is excellent. The only thing we didn’t try were the delicious looking cakes. Maybe next time.

We live in Gambia for 6 months each year & generally have a nice lunch out each week. We visited Cassy's after reading good reports ,unfortunately we left disappointed. The waiter was pleasant & efficient. Food very average. Shared very small filo pastries supposedly filled with feta & sipinach, couldn't taste or see the feta. Husband had chicken breast with curry sauce that he said was just ok, but he wouldn't order again. I had smoked salmon salad, very small amount & rather dried pieces of salmon & a lot of lettuce. Most disappointing however was the ambiance. The tables are In the middle of the pavement area, nothing they can do about that, however for the whole time we were eating we were surrounded by a local large, loud family waking around the tables who we think got something to takeaway. They were obviously taking advantage of the internet, strutting about as if they owned the place. They put their noisy child into a vacated high chair near us where a lone, disgruntled lady was sitting & then along with their children infringed into her space. This lady had to move her glass to the other side of the table to avoid one of the children. The famiy were obviously known to the young female cashier who called them by name. Not the chilled, relaxed lunch we had hoped for. The cakes looked good & I would say it's nice coffee shop, but for lunch we will stick to our favourites, Calypso @ Cape Point & Ninky Nanky.

Casey’s cafe newly opened and we wanted to try it. We wanted to order butterfish and steak fillet but both weren’t available. Then we ordered red snapper (whole fish ) and barracuda with gambas. We had to send back the red snapper because it was as hard as stone . The waiter came back with the EXACT same fish with sauce over it. We had to explain him that the fish was fired to long and is unbeatable.instead to the red snapper we got chicken legs which were as small as my fingers. When we got the bill they charged us 700 dalassi for the barracuda which is 550 dalassi. And no item of fish was listed for 700 dalassi . Strange ……after this I would not recommend

We went here today as the actual venue we wanted to eat at was closed. The chicken drumsticks which fall under the appetizers list are not actual drumsticks but the meater part of the wing. The bread used for the sandwich felt stale but we were unsure as to whether this was how the bread is in The Gambia. i.e hard. The food was nothing special for me to be fair so we will have to see how my body reacts to it in the next 24 hours. My husband said that the noodles were ok. There were alot of flies within the premises especially on the furniture inside of the venue. We have noticed that within the venues im The Gambia that we have been too. There are no fly bug zappers so you have to constantly fan flies away when trying to eat food.

Will come here every morning for breakfast if I can. They have by far the best coffee I’ve had in 🇬🇲 so far (I’m open to suggestions). The food, the service and ambience is superior to most similar establishments domestic or global. The few nuisances like occasional (with emphasis on Occasional) flies, noise, dust, smokers, is not totally within their control. You have the option to sit inside which will eliminate most of these nuisances. I think the staff can be a little bit more efficient if they just write down orders instead of going off of just memory (probably save the business some 💵 too). I have personally mentioned this to the owner so 🤞🏿. Overall, nice place unless you expecting Hilton quality, in which case you should be paying Hilton prices. OH, and the WiFi is not bad either😊

The staff are fabulous, so friendly, welcoming and efficient. It is clearly a favourite with locals and tourists alike and it was good to experience a mix of cultures and a great atmosphere. We will return and was a favourite of our first visit to The Gambia

We had dinner three times at Cassy's Lounge during our visit to Gambia. They have a beautiful roof top terrace, serve great food (the fish platter was awesome) and have wonderful staff members. I loved meeting MS and especially Ali, who has been so kind to show us around; he really enabled us to get to know The Gambia and the Gambian people. Thanks a million Ali!

Lovely quiet place to have an excellent diner on the rooftop (Caseys Lounge Bar and restaurant, different location). We really enjoyed the seafood platter and the super friendly staff. Ask for one of the waiters Ali who can arrange for an unforgettable tour to experience Gambia in a way you will never forget.
