Love the frozen custard. Great summertime treat, and they always have creative flavors. Each desert runs $3-$5 so for a large family you can spend a lot, but it's soooo worth it.

Went for their Hot dog special. Two Hot dogs and a drink for $5.55. My son and I shared. It was yummy. My son bought a small sundae with his money. They were busy but very polite.

This is way beyond normal ice cream! The staff made so many great suggestions, I had to buy an extra for my freezer. And, they give free mini-doggie cones. Easy parking even for larger RVs

To die for really. I had a Sunday with pineapple and raspberries. The raspberries were so good! Not too sweat and if not fresh, a very high quality frozen mix. We took home a quart and the nice people there placed it into a big bag of ice. Made it home to Santa Fe and still nice and frozen. I've... More

Wow, the best we've ever had. The strawberry shortcake, banana split, and mango shake were amazing. The young man who waited on us was so kind.(I wish I could remember his name)I'm sure he will remember us, the crazy family who drove the whole way from Pennsylvania. We loved Alamogordo and felt so welcome. If in town DO NOT miss... More

When I was first turned on to frozen custard, when I moved here in 2013, I was skeptical. I couldn't wrap my head around custard, which I thought was egg-y, being frozen. I was SO wrong! Yates like uber-creamy soft-serve ice cream ... It's EXCELLENT!!!

This is good custard but way overpriced! If you, take your family of 5 you will pay at least $40 on your food. Really the only icecream place in town now

This place always seems to be busy. In fact, there is usually a line outside. There is outside seating, but none inside. There is also a drive-through. They serve some delicious sandwiches as well. The custard was delicious.

Buttery, creamy, sweet....absolutely perfect! Although I'm a chocolate lover, I order the vanilla because it's pure heaven. A bit difficult deciphering the extensive menu, but I never get that far anyway.

Each and every time I visit Alamogordo, a visit to Caliche's is a mandatory stop. Huge variety of great frozen custard flavors to choose from.
