The Tandoori Prawns were delicious and spice level can be adjusted to taste. Also a dish that amounted to large chilis in a very tasty curry sauce (Hyderabad Chilies) were something we had never had before. We were a little concerned they would be "hot" but they weren't! They were sweet like the chilies you might find being roasted in... More

I visited Jamavar for the ongoing Bengali Food Festival showcase titled Bengal to Bengaluru. Food is middling at best...all curries/gravies tasted pretty much the same. I've had better North Indian food. Service was excellent. Not inexpensive...in the range of Rs. 5,000 per person (including alcohol).

Jamavar (JAMAA-VAR) is Leela's restaurant that primarily serves Indian cuisine namely mughlai. Open sit-out is one that makes for a better experience primarily due to the greenry, view, breeze from its well maintained gardens (miniature forest if I may say). So the ambience is spot-on. Our order - 1) Gosht Chaanp Tajdar (for starters) - Lamb rack beautifully cooked, mildly... More
