Sheril and his family were awesome hosts. We had a lot of fun at our cooking lesson. You learn a great range of dishes (with our favourites being the paratha and popadoms) and get a delicious meal to finish. Great value for money, we really enjoyed the evening. Very much recommended.

I have come home with great plans to extend my bread making, especially to make parathas. The method of teaching is engaging, practical and such fun!

my friend and I had a great cooking lesson with Sheril and his family! We loved the "hands-on" teaching method- and the food was the best we've had in India. Worth every rupee!

We have booked the cooking class via our homestay and had a group of 12 people. It was a nice experience to see local preparation of food. Also the owner and his family are kind and know what they do (as they said they are running approx. 2 groups per evening). The place is hard to find (it is not... More

This was a very hands-on cooking class. We will definitely try some of these again when we get home. The variety of foods we made was exceptional and generous. It was also one of our best tasting meals in India!

I visited bar-B-que as part of an organised tour, and had a really fun time. The foods made were really varied, the chef got us all involved as much as possible (which wasn't easy as there were a lot of us!) and the end result was really tasty. The location is great too; you experience a real Indian family home,... More

Sheril, Asha and family provided us with a fantastic evening. We were desperate to learn how to make some of the fantastic dishes we had been trying throughout Kerala and we're lucky enough to have barbecue Thekkady suggested to us. The cooking class was fun and informative with Sheril leading the way with his crazy catch phrases. The end result... More

Better than any restaurant and on top you get phenomenal cooking lessons. The family is very generous. Anishik is the genious painter. You have to ask him for his famous painting, the dinasour family...and the fish family and the elephant. The cooling lessons are great and taught by all the family memebers who are very kind and funny. Very good... More

Fun evening with a great host and his lovely family - food was excellent and lots of it . This is a small family run class and gives you more of a feeling of how people actually live.
