Honestly, it was quiet when we ate at this restaurant but that was due to the weather, potentially wet. BUT, we ate here three times in three days - it was that welcoming and the food so tasty. The waiting staff were very helpful when...I had a dodgy stomach one evening and suggested alternatives to our choices which would be more easily digested - much appreciated.More

Food was cold, over salted and undistinguishable! Palak was from a tin and tasted disgusting! Everything looked and tasted as if the chef took just one minute to prepare it! At almost 1000 IR for two mains and softdrinks it was the most expensive meal...we had in South India and the worst! Really disappointing!More

Oct 13, 2019 - Had dinner at the Surya Veg Restaurant. It was an open Restaurant on the Terrace. To the open sky, the food was served and the food was yummy! It was one of the best Tandoori stuff that I have had in...that part of India. Would recommend it to anyone who wants a good clean atmosphere with good food.More

I went for the view and the opportunity to take a nighttime shot of the temple, Really lovely spot. Great views of the temple and town. but my first bite of aloo mutter with cheese-garlic naan was to die for! Delicious! Friendly and welcoming staff....Really enjoyed the food, which I thought is reasonably priced too, given the view. And not more I don't think than most pure veg places. Great veg restaurant. Kaju curry was delicious and they had nice cold beers. We were served by an excellent waiter with a good memory who did not have to write our order, just remembered it. Would recommend if in the areaMore

After visiting meenakshi temple in Madurai,we reached this restaurant. The milk shake was excellent, so was mint soda lime.the aloo paranthas were not good and were more more like aloo roti.the roof top portion provided excellent view of the city and the meenakshi temple. Overall...a nice experience.More

Very nice restaurant on the top of the hotel Supreme. It offers good food and drinks - the iced coffee is indeed very good. The view is very nice and the cool breeze invites to stay longer there. Prices are reasonable.More

We had lunch there twice and the meals were excellent, particularly the Prawns Madras. Great views over Madurai. Best to sit in the shade as it can get hot in the sun, even in January.More

I suspect many of the reviews here are staff written. I arrived upstairs at 4pm, the advertised opening time. I was told to wait until 4.15pm for the kitchen to open. At this time I made my order. I was surprised that it took 1...hour for the meal to be prepared and served, received at 5.15pm, and after meals were served to other guests who arrived after me. The meal was cold and crumbly, and was burnt (charred black around the edges and not pleasant). I triple checked to see if I was at the right place, which I was. Would not return.More

We walked around the corner from our Hotel Royal Court to this restaurant for a late lunch. Escorted by the doorman to the lobby cafe, we discovered the desired roof top restaurant only opened at 4 PM. The waiter/manager said the menu was the same,...so he offered a table and we joined 12 locals and 2 French speaking ladies. We ordered 2 sweet corn soups and an order of spring rolls.
