Went for dinner at Sambal matah with a group of friends and the experience was amazing. Food was great and staff were very nice and helpful and I could say value for money was good.

Nice place and location with also surface music. Food is good and quality too. Maybe a bit pricey to be in Indonesia but absolutely fine for the walking street (only pedestrian) of Ubud.

A delicious fusion option for those looking for some local flavor, and maybe a bit more. The restaurant is located on one of the quieter allies in the heart of Ubud town. For our meal, we enjoyed the Balinese Pepes Ikan - spiced mahi mahi...wrapped in banana leaf, grilled with water spinach and yellow rice on the side, and the Crispy Chicken Seram Style - with rice, seram style peanut sauce coriander, lime and hot chili. Both dishes did NOT disappoint. Price: $10 - $20 USD if you include drinks and dessert.More

The menu was so good we had 4 starters and a main! Soft shell crab and Tuna tarter were our winning dishes. The local Sav Blanc was so good we bought went and found it at a shop to got a few bottles. Excellent service!

The menu has something for everyone which could appear daunting but they carry it off very well. I’m vego and my husband isn’t...we both had meals that were faultless. Great food, great atmosphere ... tip the staff well as they are run off their feet...and do their job superbly. Thank you for a really enjoyable meal.More

Absolutely loved dinner here. Quality of food was excellent, all the accompanying sauces were rich, crumbed prawns were fresh. The main dish (can't remember exact dish but it was a chicken curry) was similarly delicious. I loved their fusion of modern with classic Indonesian style...cooking, especially the use of fresh ingredients in the sauces. As a solo diner, my only complaint was being seated at the front bench overlooking the street. As soon as my main meal was served, the diner next to me lit up a cigarette which was blowing directly into my face/meal. Fortunately they doused it upon realising but, considering the size of the restaurant and the quality of food served, perhaps smokers could be relegated to the other side of the front bench near the front steps, so that non-smokers can enjoy their meal without cigarette smoke blowing in their face? Food for thought!More
