Actually I went by accident coming back from the gym. The food is absolutely delicious, fresh and qualitative. The menu has a really large choice! The rolls are super refined and fresh. Service is top notch. I do recommend this place. It is worth going there, no doubt

Ate here for lunch for the first time. It's always a good sign in a Japanese/Sushi restaurant when there are several tables of people speaking Japanese during their meal. I had chirashi (raw fish slices over sushi rice with vegetable garnishes) with a nice assortment of fish and my wife had a bento box. Both very nicely prepared. Not sure... More

Good variety on the menu. Always fresh sushi. I wish the rolls were bigger but what that lack in size they make up for in taste. Never disappointed after eating here.

Great food. It's kind of hiding in a strip center but I'm so glad I found this place. The sweet potato roll was like a dessert.

The lunch menu was OK. Small rolls and the spicy crab, while flavorful, had almost no crab in it. The salmon and avocado roll was nice. Their bento boxes looked very nice.

This is without a doubt some of the best sushi in Albany New York. I went in the strength of its Trip Advisor reviews, having never been before. It is an unassuming place in the ubiquitous strip mall environment. If you didn't know better you would pass it by. We went midweek and the place is fairly small and was... More

Excellent sushi and a large variety of non-sushi Japanese dishes consistently please the palette, while the friendly servers make the whole dining experience easy and fun. Come early on weekend nights. The restaurant isn't big and it fills up quickly.

My husband and I had dinner at Sushi Tei on Memorial Day weekend because it was too hot to cook. It was our first visit there and chose it because of TripAdvisor reviews. The service was very good. My husband enjoyed the sashimi deluxe and I enjoyed a steaming hot bowl of noodles in their air conditioning. We will go... More

Haven't had a birthday party since I was a kid and saw on the menu one day that they make sushi cakes....it looked awesome and warranted a birthday party. 8" cake with layers of rice , avocado and fish..can do spicy or regular. It served 4 people but additional appetizers were required to be full for a lunch. Cost was... More

Description
Sushi Tei is a traditional Japanese restaurant located in Albany, NY. We feature fresh, healthy Japanese food (eat in or take-out). Wine, sake and various imported beers are also available for your refreshment. Sushi is a small piece of raw fish or shellfish on a bed of vinegared rice. This can be eaten as is, or is often dipped into soy sauce and then eaten. Sushi is based on the belief that nature cannot be improved, and is usually very simple. Therefore, great care is put into the creation, arrangement and the many methods of preparing the food. The finished appearance is also very important because the natural beauty and taste must not be lost, but enhanced!
