Every club in Arusha has it's "full house" days innit. In Arusha, Via Via is to Thursday as Valentine is to February, 14th. You should never, I repeat, never skip the nightlife of Arusha at Via Via. I have witnessed the most amazing crowds, great music, drinks and equally amazing food.

Great place for idiosyncratic African experiences. It's a mix of locals doing karaoke, expats having dinner, live local bands and yes, the occasional prostitute. But if you don't mind them, you'll be in for a nice night!

A very good place to chill and eat good food. We missed the music evening but will happily return. A cool garden to enjoy your meal too. Staffs are friendly and helpful.

Thursday is Via Via day in Arusha, a cold beer, choice between karaoke, local music and pop music, and healthy snacks available. There is also a local artist market. The place is a heaven of peace in the center of busy Arusha.

Nearby clock tower on one side of the museum, you can eat for 10000 Tanzanian shillings (approx. $5). The place is nice if you eat outside, the food if good and drinks are at reasonable price (<$2). We were 6 to eat there and everybody was happy with their dishes. To be recommended.

We were there on a Wednesday evening, bearing in mind that places in town other than hotel restaurants close early. The street was dead, and had I not perseveringly dragged my boyfriend down a small unlit path, who knows whether we may have turned around and eaten in the hotel. Once located (that dark path opens into a garden and... More

The place is at its best at night. Especially a Thursday night, Two available bars, one serving cocktails and the other serving local drinks. A karaoke corner with a very spacious dance floor and a live band that plays till mid night and after, the Dj's will play a mashed up mix of both local and international music for you... More

We visited here twice; first for dinner and drinks, and secondly on a Thursday night for drinks. The first visit had pretty slow service, and a few of our orders got messed up which was disappointing. The food itself was nice, but not something to write home about. The second visit however, we really enjoyed. This was potentially because of... More

We had dinner at Via Via for the first time and i have to say we weren't that impressed by the food. However we were very impressed by how well the wait staff handled their job. I had to return my first dish of pesto pasta as it was subpar. The waiter asked me to go explain to the chef... More
