Our family of 4 (2 boys 4 and 2) went to Mook Dee for dinner last night. It was a great experience buying the seafood from the market then getting it cooked by the restaurant. Unlike most of the Thai people we've met so far, the market traders lacked a sense of humour and were not overly willing to barter!... More

Best meal we've had here so far. Glad we were taken there by local friends. The staff are super helpful and accommodating. More so perhaps because our friends are regulars, but they seem naturally hospitable. The preparation of our fish and prawns (bought from across the road), was absolutely top notch. They even had a rather decent choice of wines.... More

This was one of the best meals I've had in Thailand! We picked all of our fresh seafood from one of the shops (huts!) outside and took it into Mookdee to cook. The staff made recommendations on the best way to request the seafood be prepared and every dish that come out was delicious. I will definitely be back very... More

You can buy fresh seafood (really fresh) opposite the restaurant and bring them to let the restaurant cook for you. It s not for free. They charged 100 baht per kilo per menu. You can pick any menu you want. The benefit is you can ask them to cook 2-3 dishes from prawn. Anyhow, you can just simply order any... More

bustling, fast, lots of tourists too but boy these guys can really cook. even staple dishes like fried rice with whatever tastes great. But highlights are obviously the seafood. Some highlights for us were grilled prawns, the fish with lime and coriander was devine - like one of those dishes you keep remembering for years. The short walk along the... More

Concept is nice to buy the seafood to the fish market nearby and to bring it back to the restaurant for cooking but at the end the total bill is pretty expensive mainly because of the price of the seafood on the market. Only tourists around and clearly prices are out of standard market.

We went to this restaurant with our family ( 2 adults, 1 7year old boy and 1 baby with 2 years). After the choice of our seafood just in front of the restaurant, we had plenty of choice for the way they are cooking our seafood . The personnel was really friendly and even took care of the baby and... More

Just buy crap, lobster, shrimp and seashells opposite the restaurant and then bring it to the restaurant tell them what you want to eat. Enjoy your food.

The fish, bought from the market, is absolutely fresh. The cooking, with curries, sauces or also only barbecued, is good, tempura squid excellent. The service, notwithstanding the numerous and not always polite customers, is efficient, fast, and always very kind. Prices are correct. Unfortunately in the last time this area became the place for too many rude tourist groups. If... More
