Van breakfast is legendary, because man going early in the morning to have a breakfast and never to see his wife without makeup. That's why first meal for the day is very rich and lasts a long time. You can't imagine how tasty are variety...of delicious local cheeses with herbs, fresh butter and cream, honey and olives, lamb meat and 10 kinds of bread, fried vegetables, halva, tea... I'm speechless! Can't explain. You have to try!More

This restaurant is by far the most modern restaurant that you may find in Van City however they offer the traditional breakfast of Van. We found the prices to be high and it was also frustrating that they do not offer lunch or dinner, while...it is located by Van Lake and has a nice environment.More

From honey and cream to chestnut jam, and all one can imagine in between, such as a variety of delicious local cheeses, freshly churned butter, eggs cooked to your order, fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, shiny black olives, as well as some unfamiliar local staples are served...with freshly baked pide (Turkish flat bread) and washed down with unlimited amounts of tea at this cosy, friendly breakfast nook. You may choose to eat indoors, or take a seat at one of the tables, set up unpretetiously on the cobblestone street, closed for cars. The owner, Mr Kenan has been in this business for many years and presented at various food fairs. The quality of food, speed, and friendly courtesy make this a must experience point of your visit to beautiful Van province, where many surprises await.More

if you're not used to Turkish breakfast you must take it as a brunch; they serve a large choice of vegetables, even fried vegetables, yogurt, cheese (the Van specialty) and eggs; also some really local things like "un helvasi", "murtuga" or "gavut" I personally needed...just dinner that day.More

Absolutely a must-try if you are in Van. Best menemen and honey with nut butter I've tasted in the whole of Turkey. Incredible service with attentive staff who readily recommend dishes to you. Tea refill comes faster than you can drink it. Pay 20TL per...person and you'll get to try everything you'll ever need to know about the Van breakfast. There are other places in this street that offer breakfast at a cheaper price, as low as 10TL, but I'd highly recommend that you go to Kenan Kahvalti Salonu at least once to try out the quintessential full spread.More
